Villa Maris - maison de charme

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay . The Villa was perfect for our family as it was so spacious with room for everyone to spread out if they wished and the kitchen was a perfect coming together spot.Everything we needed was on hand. As we were there during a heatwave , the refreshingly cool pool was an absolute godsend. Typically French, there is no air conditioning , but the many fans made it almost bearable at nights! It was too hot to use the beautiful upstairs space but it has a ton of potential on cooler days. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine tour and Hannah is a very kind host with lots of local knowledge and passion. The cafe/ restaurant was enjoyable and we missed it on the days it was not open! They make the best coffee in the region! Felines Minervois is a very small town and you have to drive everyday. It was fine for us as we could happily stay put but I think a family with older kids and young adults might find the village just too quiet- our 30 somethings from London struggled initially!4 big bedrooms with nice linen, a loft, 3 bathrooms, great laundry, farmhouse kitchen , pool and outside furniture, good towels , parking - it’s wonderful! Highly recommend and hope to return one day.

I highly recommend Villa Maris for a stay in the South Of France. Such a lovely setting in a quiet village where everyone says Bonjour! The Villa has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The host was very responsive and informative on places to visit. The Cafe across the road (which is owned by the same group as the Villa) was sensational, incredible food and fabulous service. Thank you for making this a most enjoyable stay.

We were charmed by Villa Maris and the village of Felines-Minervois. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and our host Hannah was very helpful and responsive. We loved dining at the Cafe right across the street and stopping at the epicerie, which was well stocked. The area around Felines-Minervois has wonderful roads and paths for exploring on foot or bicycle. The entire area is exquisitely beautiful and we look forward to returning for another stay.
