Great value for money hotel very close to city center. We felt a little uncomfortable returning home at night, but was very close . The staff was very polite and helpful. They store luggage. The breakfast was also good value for money, better than looking for something in the area around. We had a great stay thanks

Our stay was great. The staff were very helpful and considerate (we arrived during the time of the rioting) and we felt incredibly safe & looked after. The rooms were simple, clean, comfortable and had all the basic amenities. The shared kitchen was ideal for budget travelling, and the bar wasn't too badly priced, either! There was a great mix of people staying - families, older groups, younger groups. Would recommend to anyone!

Great hotel easy to get to on foot or by metro from St Charles station. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We received a goody welcome pack and bar voucher for complimentary drinks which was unexpected. We opted for breakfast which had a good selection and was good value for money. We had a triple room for 3 adults and found it a good size and very clean. Our only issue was that for our entire stay we had no hot water in the shower every morning, no matter what time we tried to shower - reception said it happens if hotel is very full and lots of hot water being used and you have to wait till the water heats up again, but it takes too long if you want to get out and enjoy the day. I’ve not experienced this at larger hotels so not sure why it happens. All our showers were just freezing cold water hence only giving 4 stars overall as it was the only disappointment. If staying longer the rooms could do with more hangers and perhaps some draws, as we were 3 and had 5 hangers which was fine for a short break. The common areas are light and welcoming with a games area, indoor and outdoor terrace seating and a bar. A Vending machine is useful for snacks. The food offered from the bar area is very good along with a good selection of drinks. Despite the shower issue we would definitely come back!

MEININGER Hotel Marseille Centre La Joliette
We were on a family trip and we stayed for just one night, but everything was very fine. The room (for a family of 4) was comfortable and spotless, especially the bathroom. The staff has been extremely helpful: we arrived before the check-in time and they stored our luggage in a secured room and did the same the day of our departure after check-out. The common areas are well kept and nicely fitted. The express breakfast (coffee, juice and croissants) was yummy and reasonably priced. Our congratulations to Meininger for managing to provide a travelling family a nice place to stay at a good price.

Booked the hotel online direct. Easy to get to in a taxi from the airport. Staff were super friendly. The rooms are basic but very clean and had everything you would expect, TV, towels, clean bedding, spotless bathroom and toiletries.We didn’t eat there but did use the kitchen to make cups of tea , there were plenty of cups and 3 fridges to keep milk in. Clearly some people did cook in there but it was always clean and tidy when I used it.Well worth considering for a cheaper option whilst in Marseille.

Il y a le nécessaire pour passer une bonne nuit confortable, sans superflus, dans un style plaisant et un environnement très propre. Le personnel est très agréable. Sans oublier un très bon petit déjeuner. Le tout pour un prix plus qu'abordable. Je recommande.

I was very well impressed as soon has I entered the first door.The flags, the music and the super nice staff made the perfect first impression.When i went to the room, I was very pleased with the cleaning team, the designers and even the architects, the hotel has a great concept.A truly 5 out of 5 star experience for a super competitive price!

MEININGER Hotel Marseille Centre La Joliette
We were 2 families to stay in the hotel for 1 night before the cruise. We came from Genua by bus (our cruise was from Marseille to Genua) and decided to stay in the hotel because it was close to the railway station where we arrived. To our surprise the hotel is really very centrally located - the old port is only 15 minutes walk, the cathedral is very close, etc...But also the free shuttle bus to the new cruise terminal was 5 minutes walk! Excellent location! The personal is VERY helpful, ready to assist with everything. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is superb! We had 5 kids (2 families) and used the common sitting areas for dinner (we bought take away food in the restaurant and brought it with us), there is even the possibility to prepare food as there is a kitchen. We surely recommend the hotel and will choose it for our next stop in Marseille
