Chef le Grande

As happy as we are with French produce, it's still a treat to have freshly produced British style bacon and sausages and other products, all great quality, available 'from lovely people' Absolutely superb!!

The hand raised pies are at a level above all else. The ingredients, the pastry, the flavours are just incredible. An artisan in the true sense of the word. A world away from the commercial, bog standard pies. Chef le Grande has set the bar real high! Just launched the piccallili to go with the pies. What can I say.....!!!!

My family and I travelled to Bordeaux for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. My bother also decided to propose to his girlfriend while we were there, so we thought it would be nice to have a dinner catered at our villa on the night of the engagement. After searching for a local chef, I found Chef le Grande (Jane), and I am so happy that I did. Jane was quick to respond to any questions that I had and made the entire process simple and enjoyable. Prior to my family's departure to France, Jane helped me plan a multi-course menu with wine pairings that was superb. She showed up on time, brought all of the equipment and ingredients that she needed, and left our home as clean as it was before she arrived. Some of the dinner highlights included Oysters Rockefeller (best I've ever had), Beef Filet with seared foie gras and truffles, and a beautiful Croquembouche for dessert to celebrate the evening. To top it off, she gifted us a bottle of 17-year-old amber wine that was exquisite. I can't recommend Chef le Grande enough. Thank you, Jane, for a night that my family will forever remember!
