This is one of those social media places that you know won’t be good, but you go anyways. To be fair, we got there 30 minutes before opening on a Sunday night and was able to sit on first seating- so it was not a long queue. The walnut salad is bland and forgettable, the bread and not good. And the main star of the show: the steak was totally disappointing. The cut of steak itself was fine, but you can cook better steak yourself at home for the same or better price point. The famous sauce did not wow me either- it was like a creamy, more buttery, mild and nutty chimichurri, although I would actually prefer a good quality chimichurri over this sauce. Finally the fries were just okay, pretty oily overall. Considering those are the only things served to everyone, you get the feel that you are in a low quality buffet style restaurant. The steak portion sizes are like 8oz in total across two servings, but I seriously refused my second serving because it was that underwhelming. I would skip this tourist trap and go someone else!

Malheureusement avec le temps la qualité a beaucoup baissé. Nous avons reçu de toutes petites portions de viande et elle était dure avec des nerfs. Cela fait maintenant une vingtaine d’années qu’on y va mais on risque de ne plus y retourner. C’est vraiment dommage

There is only 1 menu at this restaurant, just order how you want your steak to be cooked. The food is very fantastic, steak and french fried. They will serve you half of portion at the first time. When you finish it, they will serve you another half of portion.

Le lieu est très charmant, la viande très très tendre et savoureuse. Les frites sont bonnes et faites maison. Les desserts idems. Le service un peu froid et oppressant, nous n’avions pas enlever nos manteaux qu’on nous demandais déjà la cuisson des viandes. C’est un peu dommage.Le restaurant ne vaux cependant pas 2h de queue, si vous voulez profiter, arriver dès l’ouverture à 18h45

La formule est connue : un plat unique, pas de choix à la carte sauf pour les boissons et les desserts. Très bonne salade aux noix en entrée, et bien sur la mythique entrecôte, sans gras, d'un moelleux exceptionnel, on a l'impression qu'on pourrait la couper avec la fourchette, avec une sauce mystère, d'excellentes frites, et on est resservis d'entrecôte si on veut. Ça vaut le prix (29€ en octobre 2023), avec cette qualité. En dessert, les intemporelles profiteroles ont fait mon bonheur. J'aime ce cadre classique, dans ce restaurant on sait qu'on est à Paris...Les serveuses sont aimables, avec un large sourire, on se sent bien...

Great spot, you tell them how you like your steak and they bring it to you in 2 separate servings, topping up the fries as well. Secret sauce is delicious and you get a salad and sliced baguette for the table (also topped up when you finish it)

Interesting concept!They serve one meal only. French fries and beef with this secret green sauce that is delicious. My guess is they make it with parsley, garlic, butter and broth.All the servers are women dressed in maid style outfits. Seems they serve as much food as you want.You can’t choose your wine. And the desserts are enormous. Very affordable!They take no reservations but the line outside moves fairly quick.

Very quick service and tasty food. £29 for the salad starter and steak and chips, not expensive but not cheap. I’m not sure it’s worthy of the reputation, brand and demand it has but I would happily return as it was enjoyable. It gets very busy.

Crazy experience. We went for lunch and arrived at 11:30 and were the 3rd table on line, that line ended up Down the street within minutes. Once seated your asked what you would like to drink then just “rare” or “medium”. There is no menu or options, you’re there for one thing only-steak and fries. It was very good (not sensational) and we received our food fast considering we sat down first. A starter small salad and the steak followed. Once finished another serving was brought to the table without question. An interesting experience and I would say more of a bucket list thing for your trip to Paris. I liked the sauce/marinade the steak was in but I think some people might feel differently.
