Hired an ID Buzz electric van for a week. Staying at a chalet with electricity I thought charging there would be easy and save money. I assumed wrongly.Europcar only provide you with a Type 2 cable for the main network chargers, and don’t include a residential charger.When I told the employee at check-in that it didn’t mention this during the booking he didn’t seem to care. I told him it was like walking into a restaurant, buying a plate of food, then being told you won’t get a knife and fork.The car is amazing, just frustrating it’s not clearer when booking.We made do with 1 charge at an Eborn plug and some free charging at a Carrefour supermarket.

Easy to find from arrivals... turn right and walk a few minutes. Friendly helpful staff. Great car, was brand new and clean. Very pleased with their service and return.

Farid was very helpful and understanding when we turned the car in. We had read lots of reviews and were concerned about leaving the car. We requested for him to sign off on it before we left and he did so graciously, we are thankful for that. We had a very good experience from check in, to car, to check out. We are so relieved considering the reviews. We did not have any issues whatsoever.

Hello before 8 days I rent a car from here. They took deposit from me 350 Frank. I deliver to before 5 days they didn' send to my deposit to me. I can't fail to rach to mail adress etc. Please send to deposits for reliance.

This was my second time renting with Europcar. I usually rent with Sixt when going to Europe and I will continue to do so after this experience. I rented a premium wagon (Audi A4 Avant) and when I went to pick it up, I was told I could not rent it as I was not 25. I began to point out to the guy that on the website, it clearly stated that you had to be 19 to rent a premium vehicle, not 25. You have to be 25 for anything premium elite or above. He then tried to tell me that the A4 Avant was a premium elite option when, once again, it very clearly states that the vehicle I had selected was a premium not a premium elite. This went on for over 30 minutes. I specifically wanted the wagon as we do not get many in states and my partner really enjoys them and we wanted that specific vehicle for our journeys through Europe. Eventually, after threatening to cancel the reservation and walk away, the guy finally relented and let us take the vehicle. Absolutely pathetic customer service as this guy was clearly misinformed. Will NOT be renting from Europcar again. Thankfully the A4 Avant we got was a really nice car and we had no problems with it.

Excellent.... Swift Check-in at the counter. Then bus transfer to receive the car. Mr. Reda was very helpful in delivering the key and guiding us to where and how to do things in Geneva.The VW was clean and in perfect condition.Returning the car was fast (2 minutes). Great experience.

Had a good car hire experience with Europcar. Got a decent price on an Audi A3 at a much better rate than competitors. The car was in great condition and we loved driving it. We purchased 3rd party insurance which I would encourage other people to do as the excess is very high and the cost to reduce excess is always so much more expensive than just buying 3rd party insurance. The car included the Swiss motorway vignette and all legal safety requirements.The only negative in our experience was that the lady that we spoke to to receive the keys, didn't really do a great job of advising all necessary information. For example, she didn't highlight any damage already recorded on the car so therefore we had to take a lot of images and videos to cover ourselves. We also didn't get shown to the car, we were left to find it ourselves. Finally, the hand back process wasn't explained to us very well, so we ended up parking the car in a bay and walking back to the car rental in the terminal, only to be told we should've handed back to the return centre in the parking lot. If these points were improved then a 5* rating would've been given.Despite this, I would definitely use Europcar again on my travels.
