An absolutely fabulous bed and breakfast establishment on the GR65 impeccably run by our hostess Veronique. From the exquisitely furnished luxurious and spacious rooms to the superb dinner elegantly presented by Veronique and her staff, every effort was made to ensure a comfortable and pleasurable stay. Our highest recommendation!

The Domaine de la Carrère is a beautiful property with wonderful gardens, a swimming pool and fabulous dining room. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I would recommend staying here.

On our Camino Podiensis adventure, I walked through Arthez de Bearn and stayed the night of Aug 6, 2023 at Domaine de la Carrere. What a great choice...this place is a gem! It's a small Inn (4 or 5 rooms) run by a hostess and her parents. Our room was huge...furnished with antique furnishings but modern and upgraded bathroom. It was clean and well taken care of. The halls and staircase were adorned with tasteful art pieces. There is a pool that is properly maintained and manicured; and a courtyard out back to enjoy a drink. The Host took great personal care...we are vegan...she had foreseen this and obtained special food for us...then prepared a great dinner in their quaint dining room. After dinner, we said good-night and she handed me a glass of Armignac on the house". So

This was the most incredible “diamond in the rough” in the quiet and remote part of southwestern France … such a special, beautiful and lovingly cared for ‘respite’ along Le Chemin! The accommodations are amazing in every way and the hospitality is the best! I felt very welcomed from the minute I arrived and have been provided “first class” service from start to finish. Très belle étape de Compostelle. Très belle demeure ancienne meublée avec goût et raffinement. Tout a été parfait : accueil très chaleureux, très grande chambre, repas excellent y compris les vins, service discret et très efficace, petit déjeuner très copieux. Soirée inoubliable avec 4 suédois. En un mot « la classe ».

Une maison à découvrir. C'est un musée avec des hôtes très accueillants et aux petits soins pour les pèlerins de passage. Tout est enchanteur, la maison, le jardin avec piscine et les repas dans la magnifique salle à manger. Inoubliable!

On the day we arrived at this magnificent house we had walked 2500 kilometres with still a long way to go to Santiago de Compostela. We thought we deserved a treat.We were not disappointed. Elegant and historic accommodation, charming hosts and wonderful food. Marvellous!
