Loved the tour with Gilles at the D-Day beaches, will come back!

We decided to use the service provided by Gilles Denis because of his detailed and very prompt reply to my enquiry outlining our area of interest, the British WW2 beaches and war record in Normandy. Picking us up in Honfleur he took us to the very moving war Cemetery in Bayeux. We then visited Gold and Sword beaches, the remains of the amazing Mulberry Harbours and Pegasus Bridge. The wonderful WW2 museum at Arromanche was included. Gilles was really well briefed and provided us with a detailed and well informed commentary as we travelled. He provided an excellent Al Fresco lunch with wine and local cider and an excellent selection of local Normandy cheeses. Our only suggestion of an improvement would be a sound system that would allow passengers in the rear seats to hear the commentary which really benefited the front seat passenger. So we have no hesitation in recommending Gilles Denis to any other groups looking for a well informed tour with the flexibility to make changes to suit his passengers.

Gilles is fantastic, very professional and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and loved our time touring with him. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I would just like to take the opportunity to thank Gilles for the great tour of 'Normandy' - not only was the tour itself very comfortable in his van and the sights very impressive, but most of all we were very impressed by his knowledge and the way of explaining the historical events that made it very all very interesting and understandable, giving us the insight of the events taken place during the 2nd WW, leaving a lasting impression for both us and our teenage son. We've been all over the world and have used so many tour companies. This was by far the best experience we've ever had. Gilles was so attentive to our needs, always smiling, and so knowledgeable about everything. If you want to see the best of Normandy and the surrounding area, this is the only tour company to use. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
