Forest View Camping & Chambre d'Hote

We had such a lovely 2 night stay here on our way back to Le Havre. Peter and Sarah made us very welcome, going out of their way to come and chat. The pizza we had on our first night was delicious. They have created a very relaxing campsite and should be very proud. We will be back!

Our family have been camping in France for over 40 years and this was by far the most pleasant camping experience we have had, the campsite was immaculate and tranquil also wonderfully run. The hosts, Peter and Sara work hard to make you feel comfortable to make the campsite a little gem for it. Look forward to staying again.

What an amazing first stop on our tour of Europe. Beautiful forest surroundings, very peaceful and quiet.The site is immaculate with good washing and shower facilities. It is also a reasonable distance from Calais to be able to drive in one go. On arrival we were warmly greeted by both Peter and Sarah who turned out to be most perfect hosts. As a keen Carp fisherman the lake was ideal and I was lucky enough to have the place to myself. Stunning sunsets were enjoyed in the Orchard whilst BBQing, after Peter kindly fitted a new hose to my gas cooker. I should add that Peter is a great handyman and was always willing to help. The garden area next to the resturant is a perfect place to use a laptop and has great Wi-Fi connectivity. Mind you, in a spot like this with much exploring to do, being surrounded by wildlife, wild boars, dear, badgers, to name a few, any such technology should be hidden away!It's a place we'll return to and we already have very fond memories.

Beautiful quiet place in nature with a positive vibe. The owners are very friendly and open people that make you feel welcome. Nice spaces with beautiful views and clean facilities. Do not hesitate to go here, we will certainly return.

We have just returned from the most beautiful and relaxing holiday at Forest View. The owners, Peter and Sarah are so warm and welcoming and really cannot do enough for you. We have never met a kinder and more friendly couple. Forest View is such a well kept and beautiful campsite which Peter and Sarah are lucky enough to call home.They have an excellent knowledge of the area and are more than happy to offer tips and advice on things to do. Peter and Sarah offer 'plat du jour' nights, which are not to be missed. Sarah's wonderful homemade cooking is out of this world and it's an excellent opportunity to meet others on the campsite and share stories. A wonderful social event and Peter and Sarah make you feel so welcome. Just like going out for a family meal all round one big table. The campsite is lovely and peaceful and the toilet and shower blocks are kept pristine. The lake onsite is great for leisure fishing and has some extremely well looked after fish. No need to bring 6 rods and tonnes of bait as both my Dad and my partner demonstrated! The fishermen and women here enjoy a nice peaceful day in the sun, admiring the views and soaking up the peace and quiet in between catching decent sized fish. Cannot recommend this site enough and can't wait until we go back!

We stayed here for four nights in August and I wish we had booked for longer!! But alas we had somewhere else to be. Anyway, what a wonderful tranquil place to camp with our two teenage boys. So much space, beautiful site and surroundings, clean facilities, quiet (which my boys prefer) and friendly. Peter and Sara are the most wonderful hosts, they've done this place proud. Plate du jour was a lovely and I highly recommend this, also their pizzas!CLose to some lovely villages and countryside. Easy to get to the train station for a great day out in Paris.What a perfect place!!

Peaceful, welcoming, beautiful location, homely, scenic, relaxing, fantastic fishing lake, amazing food…I could go on & on! It’s hard to describe how refreshing a stay at Forest View is, you really do need to experience it for yourself. Sarah and Peter are a wonderful couple who are basically welcoming you into there home. That’s exactly how it feels…like we are all friends camping in their back garden! The Plat du Jour is a must (Sarah’s cooking is amazing!) and is a great opportunity to get to know the other campers and we can also recommend booking in for the Pizza nights too as they are equally as delicious! Peter’s fishing lake is a tranquil place to sit and relax with your own thoughts or a good book, and catching a beautiful Carp is a bonus. We had quite a few out of the lake during our stay including a 42lb Mirror and a few Common, but the pesky Grass Carp avoided us! That’s okay though as we will be back for him next year and I cannot wait to be sat back at the lake! If you prefer more of an adventure out, there are also walking trails and cycles routes available. Thank you Peter & Sarah for another wonderful stay. We spent 3 nights at this campsite. A great site set in an idyllic location. Well maintained and exceptionally clean facilities. Lovely owners made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.It is well worth taking the plat du jour which is on offer a couple of times a week. Our meal was very tasty and it was an opportunity to meetwith other campers.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Forest View campsite, where we were made to feel most welcome by Sarah and Peter!The pitches are large and private with a beautiful view of the fishing lake, the facilities are well-maintained and spotless.Friendly countryside surroundings. We saw a number of wild boars and roe deer, and even a fox, on our 2,5 hour hike starting at the campsite.If you have the chance, go and enjoy the plat du jour menu, Sarah is a wonderful cook! We enjoyed a lovely night sitting at long tables with other guests, which ended with a nightcap on the terrace with some animated conversation.Thank you so much for your natural hospitality, Sarah, Peter and Gary! Having visited previously with our caravan, we decided to opt for the bed & breakfast. It did not dissappoint. Sarah & Peter are excellent hosts. Our room (3) was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable. The plat du jour was perfect, and served with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay.
