If you are an American couple looking to get married in Europe, we highly recommend And Then We Got Married (ATWGM) as Sarah, Kathryn, Ella, Emilia and the entire team at ATWGM delivered the perfect destination wedding for us.We decided to do a destination wedding in Europe after COVID canceled our original plans, and ATWGM was recommended to us by friends who got married in France. We weren’t sure exactly where we wanted to get married, so we met with Sarah initially who listened to what we were looking for broadly and then sourced potential venues for us and ultimately helped us choose a venue in Tuscany that we ended up loving.Remotely planning a destination wedding across time zones can be a bit of a leap of faith, but Sarah’s expertise was evident and she always instilled confidence in us. Whether it was helping us navigate the different cultural norms and ways of working that we weren’t used to, or helping us think through all the logistics that arise when 80 guests are coming from America to a remote Italian countryside venue, we always felt like she provided a steady and insightful guiding hand.From a design and aesthetics standpoint, the ATWGM team led by Guillaume, were able to perfectly translate our vision for what we wanted our wedding to be into a reality, and the fact that they were also able to provide beautiful florals in-house was an amazing value and made the planning process so much more simple.Meanwhile, on the logistics front, Kathryn was an absolute life saver, constantly staying on top of our venue during the planning stages and helping problem-solve leading up to, and through, the wedding weekend. The team also helped us secure some amazing vendors, including a photographer who was delightful to work with and a DJ who kept our guests dancing until 3am.Sarah, Ella, and Emilia made sure all plans came together seamlessly the weekend of our wedding. They worked effortlessly with our venue contacts to ensure all details were executed and smoothed out any issues along the way. Our wedding day saw the morning and early afternoon start with a torrential downpour of rain that had us quite worried. The team had an excellent contingency plan in place that they workshopped in real time with our venue. We did have to make the call to shift some of our plans to the rain plan, but by closely tracking the weather, they were able to do so in a way that allowed everything to still be outside. Ultimately the rain cleared up, and due to the team’s strategic planning, everything turned out beautifully. Throughout that process, the ATWGM team members were our biggest advocates with the venue and kept us all in good spirits with positivity around the rain situation.The entire ATWGM team were amazing to work with and are so talented at what they do!

One word: amazing.There are so many good things to say about Sarah and her team. We hired Sarah as our day of coordinator and we are absolutely thankful that we did, given how stressful a wedding can be. In hindsight, we should have hired her as our wedding planner as she came up with many wonderful ideas to make the day better.Although there were some hiccups with some suppliers on the wedding day, Sarah and her team resolved issues without us getting involved.We truly believe that hiring Sarah and her team was key for our successful wedding. Do not hesitate to hire Sarah! Especially if you are having a destination wedding.A&O

From the day I first ever sent a message to Sarah in May 2016, I instantly knew that she was the perfect person to plan our wedding! I felt like we clicked straight away and that she had a genuine interest in what we actually wanted, which was a fun, relaxed, informal sort of day.Over the months Sarah kept in close contact advising and assisting me in choosing the right suppliers (florist, hair/make up, photographer, venue ect.). She always made sure it was my choice and was always on hand morning noon or night!! I could message her at any time and she would always get back to me as soon as she could.Although it was a little bit daunting at first transferring money to someone we had never even met, I felt like I trusted Sarah and I am SO glad I did because WOW!!!!! what a truly lovely person she is! Inside and out! When we arrived in France she met us at the airport and helped us with the car hire/ transfers ect.She took us to the manoir where we were staying, all of our guests commented on how lovely and helpful she was.We arrived on a Saturday and our wedding was only on the following Wednesday but Sarah kept in contact always on hand if we needed to ask her anything or book restaurant reservations for us! On the Tuesday we had a small wedding rehearsal which was very useful for myself and the bridesmaids so we knew exactly where to stand and how to walk ect. On the wedding morning Sarah and Guillaume arrived super early to start setting up around the grounds. Sarah came to me and told me exactly what would be happening and at what times and gave me a walkie talkie and told me to give her a shout if I needed her at any time!They really do work so hard, they did not stop from morning until night!Our day was absolutely breathtaking, it was perfect! I could not have wished for it to be any better! It was exactly what we had hoped it would be!!!I could go on and write so much more but there wouldn’t be enough space!! From the bottom of our hearts we can’t thank Sarah and her amazing team enough! If you manage to get Sarah to be your wedding planner you really have struck gold, you will not be disappointed!!! I have never met anyone as dedicated and passionate to their job!Thank you so much for everything!

As a wedding photographer I get to work with countless other vendors, which is why I can confidently say Sarah, Elle and their team are one of the best I've ever met. We worked together at a wedding in the South of France and not only everything went incredibly well, they were attentive to details and made sure everyone felt taken care of. Highly recommend them!

We were overwhelmed by the ease, professionality en sparkling enthusiasm of Sarah her team when we invited her for a photoshoot at our castle. We just asked to see if she wanted to take a few photo's of our brand new wedding location; she came up with the idea to make a creative shoot. The result was a day in which she and her team realised a magical and festive atmosphere around the castle. After a joyful day with animals and shoots all around that ended in the late evening it was strange to wake up and see the castle all naked again;) Sarah did a fantastic job. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Sarah and ATWGM to any couple planning their wedding. Living in Australia, being from the UK and planning a wedding weekend in France could not have been done without Sarah's help. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she really took the time to understand the look and feel we wanted for our wedding - and boy did she deliver! Where do we start! From the first call that we had with Sarah around this time last year we knew that she would be the person that we wanted to plan our wedding. Sarah and her team at ATWGM were extremely professional and personable throughout the duration of planning our wedding weekend and the weekend itself.Sarah helped us with every single aspect of planning our wedding, from the decor to reviewing contracts, translating correspondence into English / French with vendors, providing us with options for suppliers and vendors to actually being the person that married us on our wedding day.Throughout the past year we have exchanged so many emails and calls with Sarah and every detail was captured in our perfect wedding weekend. The owners of the Chateau also told us that Sarah was the best wedding planner that they have worked with and they too would be recommending her to future couples using their venue.We cannot thank Sarah and the team at ATWGM enough for our perfect wedding weekend.

It’s taken me a while to write this review because I honestly couldn’t find the words to describe how amazing Sarah and her team are.From the day of our first Skype meeting to the day of the wedding she was conscientious, caring, understanding, adaptable, friendly and above all inspirational. On the wedding day itself she was calm, controlled and full of solutions. She honestly made our day the perfect dream that I had always imagined. Our friends and family were full of compliments about her service on the day and I consider myself incredibly lucky that I found the most perfect wedding planner.If you are reading this because you are considering whether to hire Sarah my advice would be “do it”! Your wedding experience will be so much better for it and you will not regret it!

I found it very difficult to work with Sarah overall. She turned out to be disorganized and unreliable. It was not a good level of service considering her prices.I was a client of Sarah’s for 2 ½ years, longer than normal due us postponing our wedding because of Covid. I hired Sarah as my wedding planner and paid for her ‘complete wedding planning’ package. Her prices do not come cheap. I was quite surprised with my experience with Sarah, considering her good reviews online.She was not very responsive or communicative during the entire 2 ½ years that I worked with her. There were so many emails and messages that went unanswered by her and her team throughout the planning process, which only added to the stress and frustration that naturally comes with wedding planning. Every single planning call I had with Sarah was postponed to a later date. I constantly felt like my wedding was not her priority and worried that she was not on top of things. The problem was, after each call, she would never follow up with any of the things that we discussed. Weeks, sometimes months, went by without hearing a word from her until I reached out asking about the status of some planning items.During the planning process, I constantly had to be on top of all the planning details. I constantly tried to follow up with Sarah and get in touch with her or else nothing would get accomplished. She did not reach out to me about planning- it was always me having to chase her down. Somehow, even with 2 ½ years to plan the wedding, a lot of the planning details were left to the last minute - leaving me very stressed. There was a huge lack of communication the entire time.I also paid for Sarah’s décor package and her stylist- Guillaume. On the wedding day, she didn’t bring any of the decorations that we had discussed. Besides putting tablecloths and candles on the tables, she didn’t decorate our reception space, and we were left to have our reception in a big, empty tent. Also, Guillaume did not show up on the wedding day. We had paid Sarah a lot of money for both the décor and this specific stylist, and she did not provide these services. Not to mention, there was no communication from her about any of this before the wedding day. We felt so heartbroken because we trusted her to bring our wedding to life, to create the ambience that we had discussed for our wedding day. Instead, we felt like she did the absolute bare minimum. She gave our wedding very little attention or care.It was quite a frustrating planning experience. We spent so much time trying to plan things with Sarah, trying to get in touch with her, and hoping that everything would be okay. Only to have the wedding day come without the long-awaited results. She overpromised so many things and didn’t deliver them.We mentioned many of these things to Sarah at the wedding and she seemed very apologetic about her inability to deliver. We agreed that we could talk after the wedding to reach an agreement regarding finances for all the things that she did not provide. Now it has been 4 months since our wedding, and we still haven’t heard a single word from Sarah. We have tried to reach out many times, but she will not answer any of our emails or messages. This has all culminated in a very confusing and frustrating experience. She charged us a lot of money, did not deliver the services that she promised, and will not answer us. If you want a wedding planner to give your wedding some care, take away the stress, and actually follow through, choose someone else.
