Purple & Black Tea in France (Origin: Kenya) – t-herb | Purple Tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant, the same plant from which we get our familiar black and green tea. The purple color is the result of a unique genetic mutation in the tea plant that stimulates the production of anthocyanins, resulting in purple-colored leaves.
