My wife and I are megalith fanatics. We spent 2 days with Samuel touring Neolithic sites in the north of Brittany. Samuel was an excellent guide in all respects. He planned both days to maximize our time seeing what we'd asked for while expanding the tours to include other local attractions that he thought we'd find interesting and put the area in context. He is knowledgeable in many areas (history and art to name just 2) and is an outstanding conversationalist. Out time with him was the highlight of our Europe vacation. I recommend him without reservation.

We had a great tour in Mont-Saint-Michel and St Malo with Samuel. He has brought knowledge of Normandy and Brittany, and his excitement about the history, architecture, and culture of the region is contagious. If you plan a trip to this area, you wouldn't be able to find a better guide. A 5 Stars service, highly recommended !

Amazing. My husband & I did a 2 day tour of Bretagne with Samuel during our 14 day, 4 city, 2 country trip to Europe. We ended up booking 7 tours during our trip, and Samuel's offering was by far the best tour we experienced. Samuel is so knowledgeable about the history & architecture of all things in Bretagne, while being personal, professional & responsive. The whole experience was fun, educational & tailored to our liking. His English is amazing and we had no issues communicating with him. We ran in to some travel issues with our trains given the strikes in France and Samuel (while its not part of his tour or job) was super helpful, patient & flexible while we worked through that. We would highly recommend Samuel's tours to any Bretagne visitor, family & friends and we will definitely be reaching back out to Samuel for our next visit Bretagne.

Samuel customized an afternoon for my daughter and me based on our interests and where we were staying in Brittany. His knowledge of the Dinan and Rennes made our visit memorable and so much more enjoyable than if we had simply wandered on our own. They are both beautiful cities and we felt fortunate to have found Samuel to show us this unique area of France.

In mid-May 2022 my life partner and I spent a week in Dinan, France, a beautiful city with a medieval old town. Our intention was to use it as a base for traveling in Brittany. On two of the days, we arranged tours with Samuel from Visite Bretagne. On day one we went to Mont St. Michel and the city of St. Malo and on day two we visited Cap Fréhel and the lighthouse, the Château de La Roche Goyon, and the city of Dinard, all on the west coast. It was very easy to book the tours via email as he provided us with options that we had not thought of. He is a very personable and knowledgeable gentleman and his firsthand knowledge of the area provided us with insights that we would not have gotten any other way. For English speakers, his command of the language is excellent. We liked the fact that he drove through the countryside rather than the highways on our trips. He has a newish large, comfortable car and is a courteous and safe driver. He picked us up on time and got us back as scheduled. We never felt rushed and certainly got our money’s worth. When he dropped us off the second day, we mentioned that we had to drag our bags a kilometer to the train station as the taxis in Dinan are limited, and we suspect that the ones that were available did not want to take us such a short distance despite our willingness to pay a premium. He offered to take us but had clients and would have to take us very early as we were out-of-the-way. Beyond the call of duty, he contacted a number of colleagues and managed to arrange transportation for us. We would recommend Samuel and Visite Bretagne without reservation.

Samuel was our guide, driver and host for 6 days. His knowledge of the history and customs of Bretagne is outstanding and equally outstanding is his and his family’s graciousness. Their B&B is lovely and they are great hosts. We loved our trip, the Bretagne people and our excellent tour guide and host. Would recommend highly.

I was fortunate to spend 5 days with Samuel taking French lessons in the morning and visits to wonderful places in Brittany each afternoon.Samuel’s knowledge of the history of Brittany and the places we visited was fantastic, making each tour enjoyable and memorable. It certainly made me want to learn more on Breton’s culture and rich heritage.J’ai beaucoup profité de les leçons françaises avec Samuel.
