A Place In Haute-Vienne

Had an amazing time staying in the B&B in January!Great food, great people, great place .. everything you need!

Genoten van een heerlijke vakantie in het huisje van Daren en Bianka. Rustig tussen de grazende koeien. Bij aankomst werden we begroet door de 2 hondjes. Tijdens ons verblijf kregen we ook af en toe het bezoek van de huiskatten. Genoten van de grote tuin, het luieren bij het zwembad, de pooltafel, de jacuzzi. Dz gite heeft alles wat je maar nodig kan hebben. Een aanrader voor wie van de rust van de buiten en dieren houdt. Wij gaan zeker nog terug.

Well WOW WOW WOW What can we say AmazingLanding in at 6,00pm arriving at 7pm Sunday evening family of 4 didn't even think about what shops /places to eat would be open . That would be none ,our amazing host Bianka rustled us up something without a second thought gave us plenty of wine and beer and made us feel the most welcome . The B and B we stayed in was again amazing for a family of 4 clean fresh enough of everything she even had shampoo and the likes ,that makes a difference when you only take carry on luggage.It was a self contained flat without the kitchen everything was just perfect.The breakfast in the morning was again amazing the eggs where so fresh straight out the chicken coop ,trust me when I say we will never eat shop bought eggs again, there was plenty of everything warm breads meats cheeses home made this and that and the normal stuff as well something for everyone including fussy kids ,she was happy to make our little one scrambled egg even though it was a continental breakfast , She truly was the best host I have ever come across and with a wicked sense of humour .she offered to do our evening meals for us as well at a very very reasonable price that again was brilliant loads of everything with loads of wine beer pop for the kids.For the kids they have tons of stuff to do a pool air hockey darts although its possible one is missing haha unless bianka very patient husband Darren has retrieved it from wherever my son lost it , theres a pool table loads and loads for them to do while you relax and take in the stunning views and good weather.Theres a fab walk just at the bottom of the garden we was lucky to see a deer run by take a pair of long trousers and trainers as its a must to do.Darren has made a communal fire pit with seating area this is just amazing on a evening keeps you warm while taking in the beautiful stars he also has a very powerful telescope that blew my mind the moon looked unreal .whilst there we had a look at the gite they also have and again its very beautiful they truly have put there heart and soul into everything .They have 2 dogs that are the loveliest dogs we could of took them both home they where well behaved ,obedient ,funny, gentle and a plus to this wonderful place.recommend going canoeing whilst there Darren will point you in the right direction its about 55 mins away but well worth it we had such good fun and the village where it is lovely .So to sumarizeIt was brilliant, Bianka and Darren were brilliant the food was brilliant there home the BnB was brilliant the place is lovely great for the kids and adults alike we loved it and will defiantly will be going back the pictures on the website do not do this place justiceyou will not be disappointed.

Lots of work gone into making this place a quality holiday rental.

We stayed here for a week over New Year. The gîtè was absolutely gorgeous, with log burner in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two luxurious bathrooms. There is a hot tub and bbq in the garden which is accessed through twin French doors. The area is lovely and peaceful with beautiful woodland walks. Daren and Bianca (the owners) live in the farmhouse adjacent and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly if they tried. We had a wonderful, restful, stress free stay here and would thoroughly A Place in Haute-Vienne to anyone looking to get away from the trials and tribulations of everyday life. I will warn you though, staying here will seriously affect your desire to live in the uk

Absolutely awesome! If you are looking for the most peaceful and idyllic holiday, you ve came to the right place. Deren and Bianca are so kind and welcoming, yet not at all intrusive, and their place with its large surroundings is going to make you so relaxed. We will be back!

If you are after a complete relaxing get away this is definitely the place to go. Myself and my better half stayed in the cottage over the new year period.The cottage is perfect, a 2bedroom property with 2 on suit bathroom's both have baths and showers in them. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, fridge and freezer. The lounge has a gorgeous log burner for the evening's you want to cosy up. The back yard has a hot tub and barbecue. If you like watching tv don't worry you can and it's English. There is very little light pollution so if you like star watching it's ideal, you can even star watch while having a relaxing bath (skylight).The area has many surrounding villages for all your shopping needs.The owners Daren and Bianka will do everything in there power to make your stay as good as they can. All in all it's a stunning place to visit, believe me when I say I didn't want to leave.

Our stay at A Place In Haute-Vienne has been absolutely fantastic from the moment we stepped off the plane. Daren and Bianka offer a wounderful warm welcome to anyone who walks through their door. The children have room to run around and be themselves while we can sit down and relax by the log burner. This time we have stayed in the bed and breakfast suite and I can defiantly recommend the breakfast. We are already planning our stay in the summer in the cottage which has not long been renovated and we are looking forward to the prospect of using the pool. This place is going to become a firm family favourite and I can't see anyone who visits not falling in love with the people, the stunning countryside and the warm and relaxed atmosphere.
