We were on a river cruise that stopped in Breisach, and rented bikes for the day from Sid for the four of us. I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Sid had a choice of electric bikes for us to try, both an easy version and a more advanced one. He took the time to make sure we were happy with our choices, carefully explained all the controls, and let us do test rides to make sure all was well. He then gave us a map with a suggested route and off we went. A fun day out along the banks of the Rhine was had by all.Even better, when one of our party took a little tumble near the end of our ride, Sid jumped in his car and came to the rescue.

Must do for Viking cruise passengers. This was by far our favorite day on the boat and we are so glad we found Sid and these e-bikes. Our bikes were brand new and he took time to help us get comfortable with them. Sid was incredibly helpful, provided a map of fun places to explore, and spoke impeccable English. We enjoyed biking to the next town, visiting a local lake, and seeing the local vineyards. It truly was the most memorable day of our trip.

Super fun! We asked Sid to pack a picnic and cooler. For an extra 100 it was totally worth it! We went all the way up along the Rhine until we hit a small pub just before the bridge to France. We then went back a different way. Had the picnic by the town beach ( word of advice- clothing optional so a bit of a surprise as we sat down with our lunch!!!) Bikes had plenty of power after 5 hours of traveling. Made it back to the Viking ship in plenty of time.

Very easy to work with. This is an amazing area to cycle in with bike road through out all the vineyards. Some of the the best cycling in the world.

We stopped in Breisach on a Viking river cruise. Not wanting to pay for the expensive Viking E-bike excursion, we decided to try and rent on our own. That's when we found Fahrradverleih Breisach.Sid, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive to emails. He set my wife and I up with some excellent bikes, and gave us suggestions for places to visit. We were so impressed that we sent several others from our group to him to get bikes for themselves.This was by far the highlight of our trip! We are so glad that we decided to rent the bikes through Sid. Not only were the bikes much more reasonably priced than the ship, the countryside was spectacular, and there were countless biking trails to explore. We had originally planned to go on the bus tour to the black forest in the afternoon, but we had so much fun with the bikes that we ended up riding all day long.We're looking forward to the next time we can visit Breisach so that we can continue exploring!

We rented 2 e-bikes for my wife and I to do coming off of a Viking excursion stop in Breisach just over one week ago. I cannot give Fahrradverleih Breisach and Sid a higher recommendation. Sid was wonderful. He traded several emails with me with very clear information. On the day of the rental he patiently explained the bikes to us and how to safely use them and also gave recommendations on where to go and several nice maps. I would definitely rent from Sid again. And by the way, we had travel mates who did the e-bike tour through Viking cruises. They pay paid many times more and I think we had a better experience. Thanks Sid - really enjoyed meeting you.

Fantastic experience in Breisach! We chose to rent local instead of joining our river cruise excursion. Sid was an excellent host, bike coach and historian. The E-bikes were easy to learn and a great help with the local hills. He has E-bikes and standard bicycles available. 10/10 recommend renting local. The river cruises use a bike rental from a town 7km away.

I rented an e-bike on October 4 2023 and had possibly the best day of my 2 week trip that took me from Amsterdam to Lucerne. I rode all over the German countryside. Up hills, through valleys and small towns. I saw fields, wild life, forests and vineyards. It was truly amazing. I had so much fun and there is no tour on earth that could have provided these experiences for me.The rental process was smooth and quick. I paid 45 Euro to have the bike all day. Paid with apple pay on my watch, and off I went. There are wineries and biergartens all over the place if you want to stop in. I finished the day at a small biergarten in Burkheim before heading back.After riding back, I dropped the bike off. Everything was easy about the process. I had a wonderful time. I can't recommend this enough. Enjoy!
