L'Amandier de Mougins
Always a pleasure to dine on these terraces with an outstanding view of the Provençal landscape. The Picasso Museum is literally next to the restaurant so naturally the Menu Musée has a lot to offer. The All-Tomato starter is served in a delicate jelly, the Oeuf Parfait is really perfect, and the Cod is cooked to perfection. Amongst the beautiful choice of deserts, the Cheese platter is the unsung hero.

C'est vraiment un très bon restaurant qui s'approche presque d'un restaurant gastronomique, autant pars la qualité des plats servis que par le soin apporté à la présentation. Le lieu est très calme et possède plusieurs terrasses ombragées avec des jolies vues!

Première fois et pas la dernière! Très jolie vue, bâtisse et déco magnifiques, repas excellent et service très correct. Rapport qualité prix imbattable! Merci pour cette belle soirée!

Première expérience à l'Amandier à l'occasion de notre anniversaire de mariage. Ambiance feutrée, même en terrasse avec la vue sur les collines de Mougins. Nous avions pris le menu dégustation. Les portions sont petites, mais les plats nombreux, donc ça passe. Pour le velouté, on est quand même dans la limite basse, mais c'est j'imagine le principe de la dégustation. Tout était très bon et le service parfait. L'addition en rapport avec la prestation, même si quelques amuses bouches auraient été bienvenus avec nos spritz à 12.50€.Les tortellinis et la viande étaient délicieux.A refaire en testant la carte.

Was here in October 2023. Highly disappointing. The food was 3 out of 5 stars IF we exclude the price.Summary: not the ex- Michelin star restaurant that one would expect. Food was not mind blowing (a Chinese restaurant would have been tastier), service was rushed which is not suitable for such institutions as our plate was cleared at least thrice before we were ready. Wine was mediocre at best (after a sommelier recommended those to us) despite charging 95EUR for 1 bottle of white and 65 EUR for a bottle of red). No explanation was given for each meal - I had no idea what the intention was, nor inspiration for the dish, nor tips on eating it.Environment/ Ambiente was excellent - as expected for an ex 2018 Michelin star establishment.The food:The effort put into meals: out of a 7 course meal only 2 were partially tasty and one fully tasty but low effort - truffle risotto - standard but truffle enhanced the flavour. The duck cooked 2 ways (1 of which was very nicely done). A small praline was good (one of the desserts).I had better Tapas in bars in Sevilla with more intense flavour and use of spices than in the entire evening at this establishment.Bill: 567 EUR for 6 people + 40 EUR tip.Disclaimer: apparently if the group is majority French speaking they do explain the dishes. I have not noticed such thing the day I was there on any of our neighbouring tables however.

I find it shameful that at such a reputed restaurant you can take a complete menu (menu musée - not the degustation) and still be hungry after the meal. I was forced to fill up on bread and left very unsatisfied. It’s a shame because the food is wonderful but the portions are ridiculous.For the price you pay, I think they should be able to afford to feed their customers properly. Victim of it’s own success.

Great ambiance, indoor seating in October 2023. Full house yet service and attentiveness was great. We had lunch, took the recomended daily for €27/person. This included wine and dessert.It was for sure worth the price. The risotto was very creamy, the pumpkin slices in the middle was fermented in cloves and was cripy and perfect.The desserts alone was worth the price, five different small pieces. All very good.Highly recomended for a good autumn lunch.

Back after 12 years and was not disappointed! Table on the terrace, stunning views, the smell of star jasmine, a beautiful sunny day and a buzzing little gem of a village!Oh yes, the food! Beautifully prepared and presented, delicious 3 course menu, and decent value for the quality of the venue and the food!

Très belle expérience en famille ce soir encore.Nous venons depuis des années et avons trouvé que la cuisine était encore meilleure et plus copieuse que d habitude. Avec un petit concert en même temps en bas sur la place et le cadre super sympa la soirée fut parfaite!
