What an unprofessional agent with a bad attitude, truly. My husband and I were interested in one of his big appartements at Jean Monnet complex at Saint-Genis-Pouilly that we really wanted to buy. He took us on a showing and showed us the apartment - we informed him we were ready to proceed and that we had a“YES” from the bank and that all our documents from the bank were in order- he said he wasn’t sure if he believes the bank (?!), but he agreed to take us for a revisit, just to make sure we were really interested. We told him we still were. Afterwards he demanded to see the entire bank simulation and he demanded to talk to the bank’s agent because as he put it “he didn’t really believe we would get a loan”- angry, we gave him access to that information, even though our bank agent kept saying everything’s in order and that it’s a “GO” for the loan. Mr.Dauphin talked to the bank, got our bank’s simulation and today, over two weeks after the initial visit of the apartment decided to tell us that he STILL isn’t convinced that we will get a loan (we got one alright all along and we have security) so he will not send our formal price proposal to the sellers. He also told us that there is another buyer offering as much as we are but in CASH, therefore the owners are probably going to go with him even though that prospective buyer didn’t offer to send a formal price offer to the sellers yet and might as well change their mind in which case they’ll be left with nothing! So, so sad he treated us this way even though we have a very good economy, the bank on our side and we all could have made a good deal for all the parties involved! All because Mr. Dauphin thinks he knows better than the bank and that he decided from the get-go that we weren’t good buyers for that apartment. I don’t know what the reasoning was behind his actions or if the sellers know how he is picking and choosing the buyers, but with such behavior he definitely isn’t working in their favor either. To make matters worse, we got the news about a competitive prospective offer in cash today- WEEKS after stringing us along! So unprofessional and massively disappointing- stay away from this agent.
