Nous avons eu l’occasion de visiter ce site sur rendez-vous à l’occasion la journée du patrimoine .Ce lieu sur un territoire international est magnifique et chargé de découverte notamment par son histoire ainsi que ses paysages avec un très beau jardin ainsi qu’un potager.Les guides étaient passionnés et passionnants.

Bureau International des Poids et mesures créé suite à la convention du mètre 1875, dirigé depuis 2013 par le physicien anglais J.T. Visité à l'occasion des Journées du patrimoine, j'ai trouvé la visite très intéressante. Le site est magnifique. Et merci aussi au jardinier pour ce beau jardin et ses excellentes framboises...

In my 33 years as a metrologist, a visit to the BIPM has never lost its allure. To be at the heart of the SI, the epicentre of metrology, is always something special. From wandering the beautiful grounds, to descending the marble stairways, meeting in the tent for lunch, the morning climb up the hill from the Pont de Sevres, to the sense of camaraderie enjoyed during international meetings in one of the Pavilions, it is always a magical feeling. So many happy memories and friendships.

This Bureau is in a protected property that is actually international land. It has an amazing history that will be fascinating for any metrologist.
