Hemos ido en familia y hemos disfrutado de un apartamento maravillosamente equipado, con patio particular, dando de comer a los peces y visitando a las gallinas, de pícnic en el río y chapuzones en la piscina. Muy buena atención, ¡te sientes como en casa!

Can Llouquette is an ancient fruit farm lovingly converted into a mountainside holiday retreat by hosts Simon and Ashley. We quickly settled into our comfortable purpose-built gite - Bergerie- , nestled into the rocks of the ravine. The soft rush of the River Fou and mellow birdsong were the soundtrack of our very relaxing vacation and we had magnificent tree-top views without needing to leave the house! Wild boar pass through the valley and you might catch sight of a golden oriel on the wing. We got to know the chickens and sheep that live at Can Llouquette along with Blue the friendly border collie. We barbecued on our private terrace, picnicked on the river’s edge and took strolls along the quiet mountain road for lunch in the medieval village of Montferrer. There's even a pool for morning dips. For days out there are mountain rambles and cycle-rides, the beach at Collioure and picturesque towns like Ceret and Perpignan to explore. We had a lovely holiday and the owners were extremely helpful. Can Llouquette will connect you with nature, your loved ones and your best self.

Endroit de rêve, où nous vivons en harmonie avec la nature. Simon a fait un travail énorme pour redonner vie à ce lieu enchanteur. N'hésitez pas.

Stunningly beautiful place. We had a week at Can Llouquette in August 2017. It is the most beautiful setting; on the side of a wooded steep valley in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, with a stream gurgling at the bottom. At night all you hear is insects, owls and running water. It's really peaceful and one feels immersed in nature. There are good facilities for children, and a nice swimming pool, which was warmer than expected. Our gite (Bergerie) had a really lovely private terrace overlooking trees. There are some very friendly cats and a lovely dog. And a very nice owner!The gite itself was generally comfortable. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable (it as two singles pushed together), and there could have been a bit more thought into equipping the kitchen (which was nonetheless more than adequate - a few things like some plastic stuff for picnics, some sealable containers etc) but those things were not enough to warrant 4 stars instead of 5!
