Hôtel Restaurant Domaine de la Tortinière

An absolutely magical place. We were upgraded, possibly because there was a wedding on when we stayed: a suite with a view of the gardens. The staff were fantastic - funny, hospitable, knowledgeable. We had the most wonderful dinner, with excellent wine; and a delicious breakfast. The hotel itself is set in glorious grounds on the banks of the Indre, very easy to find. A luxurious treat, but well worth it. Top marks.

Domaine agréable, très joli sous bois. Personnel avenant, très aimable. Propreté chambre et salle de bain imparfaite : poussière présente sur les parties hautes et basses. Restauration moyenne : lait soja caillé au petit déjeuner, bacon dans mon assiette végétarienne au dîner !!! Profitez des mains très expertes des esthéticiennesTarifs assez élevés, mais séjour malgré tout agréable grâce au personnel du château et aux esthéticiennes

This castle stay was one of the highlights of our stay in France! It is absolutely gorgeous and the grounds/views will take your breath away. The beds were comfortable and the daily breakfasts had great variety. The pool was clean and a real treat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who finds themselves in the Loire Valley.

J'ai récemment séjourné dans ce magnifique château et je ne pourrais pas être plus enchanté par mon expérience. Le personnel était exceptionnel, toujours prêt à rendre mon séjour aussi agréable que possible. Leur service chaleureux et attentionné a vraiment ajouté une touche personnelle à ma visite.Le château lui-même est tout simplement superbe.Le petit-déjeuner était un vrai régal pour les papilles. Les mets étaient délicieux et préparés avec une grande attention aux détails. C'était le meilleur moyen de commencer ma journée avant d'explorer les environs.Ma chambre était incroyablement confortable, offrant un havre de paix après une journée bien remplie. J'ai passé des nuits paisibles et réparatrices, entouré de luxe et de charme.Si vous cherchez une escapade inoubliable dans un château, je ne peux que vous recommander cet endroit. C'est une expérience que vous chérirez à jamais.

Nous sommes venus à la Tortinière suite à un cadeau de nos amis ; autant dire que nous avons été contents de notre séjour. Le lieu est très bien placé dans une région riche en châteaux. Le domaine est agréable. Le château lui-même est fort sympathique, avec des aménagements de très bon niveau. Le personnage est courtois, discret, efficace. Enfin, la restauration est d’excellente facture. Nous avions un pack gastronomique et nous n’avons pas été déçus. Le restaurant bénéficie d’un décor moderne – ce qui est différent de la partie hôtel – et sobre qui s’accorde bien avec la finesse de la cuisine et des plats proposés. Le service est excellent et tout le monde fait preuve de diligence et de gentillesse. Enfin, pour les internationaux, nous le conseillons car le personnel parle anglais et d’ailleurs je crois que c’est une destination prisée par les anglosaxons.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay!!We stayed in, and would highly recommend room #4 in the castle overlooking the backside of the property. The room was very nicely sized with a small balcony.The staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Mr. Xavier, the owner, took time to greet us and we saw him talking with several of the guests. The property itself seemed like it should have been one of the chateau's to visit in the Loire Valley area. The location could not have been better for visiting many of the famous landmarks in the region.Would definitely return and recommend!!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at the hotel! We visited on a romantic holiday and were not disappointed. Our room was in the carriage house, on the second floor with a balcony and view of the valley area. So serene, spacious and luxurious. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The place is rustic overall, but filled with character and charm befitting a country locale. The grounds are spectacular and we enjoyed strolling the property a great deal. The restaurant left a bit to be desired in terms of flavors and composition, but they had no problem catering to my wife who is celiac and required a gluten free menu, and the service was excellent and the views sublime.

Booked one night very last minute online to check prices and by phone to finish : I was pleased by the last minute special offer for the ELEGANCE room on the first floor of the castle (299eur albeit without breakfast). The view of the room is awesome, absolutely fantastic. The only balcony ! Old and stylish furniture, table was not stable at all but we managed. Bathroom modern but water pressure not good at all. Castle plumbing you would say, right ? The house is from 1860, so that’s fine… the HUGE disappointment came in the morning around 8am until 11:15+… when the 4 garden workers came to cut grass and more.. they all had noise protection headset indeed… not us :( Such poor management of customer experience for this price !!!The dinner at the restaurant was really nice, service and dishes were great. The place is lovely and romantic. Just ask to avoid noisy garden party in the morning …

Un lieu magique, magnifique, plein de charme. Un accueil du personnel très professionnel et agréable.Une carte du restaurant vraiment très bonne. Un régal a tel point que je voulais goûter l'ensemble.Nous aurons plaisir à revenir.Merci beaucoup à Damien pour sa cuisine au top et le beau gâteau d'anniversaire pour mes 40 ans.Le parc est magnifique en plus et la vue incroyable !
