The Westin Paris Vendôme

J'ai eu l'occasion de séjourner dans cet hôtel dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel.L'hôtel est très beau avec un patio placé en son centre.Les chambres sont grandes, bien équipées et la literie est très confortable.L'établissement est très grand, les couloirs interminables mais on se repéré rapidement grâce aux panneaux d'emplacement des chambres.La salle du petit déjeuner est très belle, certains diront qu'ils la trouvent trop sombre mais ça donne une ambiance tamisée qui est agréable.Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très complet avec un grand choix de choses à manger ou à boire.Deux bémols toutefois ; l'insonorisation vers le couloir... la porte n'est pas très épaisse ni isolée phoniquement ce qui est gênant car on entend tous les bruits du couloir... donc prévoir les boules quies, ce qui est dommage dans ce genre d'établissement. Ensuite, la lumière du couloir extérieur qui pénètre sous la porte de la chambre, ce qui m'a obligé à mettre une serviette de bain au sol devant la porte pour camoufler cette gêne...

Terrible. Hotel is dirty, looks uncared for. I was afraid of my feet touching the carpet. Bathroom robes looked like 50 years old and unwashed. I could go on, dirty doors painted cheaply, paint falling from the ceiling… etc etc etcSmells old, shower and toilets were unclean. I don’t know how they can still be a Westin 4 star hotel.Service is friendly and location is good, but can find another hotel with this quality. Price is stupidly high for such dirty and old hotel.

Great location but the rooms are not well maintained. For the price we could probably have found a way nicer hotel. The breakfast is very good and the location is convenient to the Louvre.

The common areas are very nice, but the rooms are tired, even when we were upgraded, and neither room was particularly clean, with ground-in dust in every corner and dust in the headboards which we noticed because we had to go searching for the scarce electric outlets. This hotel needs a major refurbishment and new management.

I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to every hotel staff member here. We are from Canada and shocked at how rude people are here, and the complete lack of customer care and respect, until we enter our hotel. The Westin provided us with a safe and kind refuge in this city, with every staff member being kind and helpful to my children and I. We stayed here for 2 weeks and are so thankful to you for being an amazing hotel. Everything down to bringing us ice in the evenings was done with kindness and respect. Thank you!!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I stayed here for one week and paid on average $700/ night. I come to Paris once or twice a year and have stayed at many different hotels. This has been by far the worst. The first night the heater wasn’t working and they tried to fix it for two hours at midnight w no success. Then there was so much noise in the room from the plumbing or the heating system! Just overall not a good experience for traveling across the word to enjoy a week off.

Great location, but dirty hotel. After checking in we waited four hours to get a room and when we did we found that it hadn't been cleaned at all from the last guest. After another hour wait we finally got another room and found that housekeeping had made up the room, but it was still not clean to the standards that I would expect for a $800/night room. Dust was everywhere, paint was peeling and the shower had ridiculously low pressure. This Westin needs to do better!

I honestly tried to cancel my reservation here and book a room at the Mandarin because of the other reviews I saw about the rooms being horrible. I’m so glad I didn’t, and a big thank you to the in-house reservation team that put up with me when I was trying to cancel. The rooms are a little dated but fit the feel of the old city, they’re fine. We got a room with an Eiffel Tower view which was lovely. The hotel is clean, I’m not sure why the other reviews say otherwise. The rating of this hotel should be higher in my opinion.

Cet établissement est magnifique. J y été déjà allée il y a longtemps et cet hôtel n a rien perdu de sa superbe. Le personnel est super sympathique et pro. N hésitez pas a y aller pour prendre un verre ou encore manger, leur terrasse est magnifique.

Location is amazing - walkable to everywhere touristy! As the other reviews state, rooms need major updates based on cost of room. One day we had room cleaning, the second we didn’t and had to call. Our safe stopped working - staff helped us out with that asap. Would recommend for location if the price is low enough to warrant outdated room. Being EU chargers - there are no USB outlets in the rooms.
