Meilleur bar de Paris, endroit unique!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Just moved to the neighborhood and my wife and we went to check out this bar. We were done for the night but we wanted to see if it was a local bar we'd like to come back to. It seemed a nice place but as we were walking out, the bartender (maybe the owner) starts saying something to my wife and me. Our French isn't the best yet so we look confused. The bartender switches to English and proceeds to yell at us for not saying goodbye. I guess he was insulted that we didn't buy anything... Or maybe he was a bit drunk. Who knows. Anyways, there are ass holes everywhere and we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

accoudez vous au comptoir et laissez vous charmer par l'ambiance authentique d'un lieu comme il n'en existe presque plus dans la capitale.

JP has been a fixture in the area for sometime, I first set foot in there just under 20 years ago, it is like a Speakeasy and late night drinking den. If JP likes your face, then you're in, if not, you have to keep trying. ;D

Très bon.L'horaire d'ouverture n'est cependant pas toujours respecté.

I am a new immigrant to France and have been trying very hard to learn to speak French and assimilate. Life has been very difficult and lonely. I came in and the bar tender started cussing and then screaming at me to get out the bar because I did not make eye contact when I said bon soir" as I entered the bar. It was an awlful and terrifying experience."

This is literally my favourite place in Paris, having lived there for 3 years. I fell in love there. These 1 star reviews are spot on and part of its grimy, authentic, DGAF charm.
