We waited a long time to place our order. Sadly, most of the desserts were sold out, leaving us with only three options. Then, we had to wait again for our dessert to be served from the fridge which is behind me. Before we could finish our cake and coffee, the waiter rushed us to check out. We only had 20 minutes to savor our treats before being pushed to leave.

Have to agree with some of the poor star reviews as we had a similar experience.Got there around 1030 on a weekday. Sat us promptly but the server didn't come back to take our order for awhile. Then, we we wanted to order food, she replied that they only serve the breakfast and desserts before 1130. Nowhere does that say on the menu and nobody told us when we sat down. What seemed like a long time later, the server finally came back to take our order.Ordered the Parisian breakfast, and a separate order of the hot chocolate and an eclair. The food came out quickly at least...The coffee and hot chocolate was served a bit above lukewarm at best. As others have stated, the hot chocolate is very sweet. The bread and pain au chocolate was average... have had better from our neighbourhood bakery. Finally, when it was time to pay, the server took her sweet time, even though there were only 5 other tables seated.Definitely not worth the hype and will not be visiting next time at the Louvre...

We went for the hot chocolate, stayed for the croque monsieur, ice cream and deserts. Very nice and expedient server, direct view of the glass pyramid. There was nothing to dislike.

The croquet monsieur is very delicious as well as the melange Angelina tea. Very relaxing environment, not distracting like other cafes.

Staff was pretty inefficient, I got there at 2:30pm on a Thursday, there were many empty tables and a long queue outside. I ordered a rigatoni which was really awful, it was served cold and the pasta was saggy. I also got one of Angelina’s famous cake, the pastry which was supposed to be crispy turned saggy probably from sitting in the display case too long. Overall, I think Angelina is overrated and I have no idea why the Lourve would like it stay there.

So this place is a little confusing, came at 11:45 to get lunch, and two people left before me bc they were told that they were only serving lunch not pastries and coffee. When I tried to walk in to look they asked me to wait, I just wanted to look inside, First you notice a sign that says Cafe Richelieu on the wall and then Angelina on the glass blocking the view into the restaurant, which was a little confusing. By telling their customers there is no pastries, it seemed maybe they did not want to serve just pastries, but maybe wanted to serve lunch on top of the pastries. The place is underwhelming and ordering from here, is not like the other Angelina’s, but we were hungry and tried it anyway. Our waiter was very kind, and efficient. We had the quiche which was meh, the club was meh, and the eggs Benedict with bacon which was delicious, and the rigatoni which I think was the best meal, very flavorful. I had the Angelina iced tea which is not worth the 8.50, two limonades, which turned out to be sprite or maybe the waiter misunderstood, a cappuccino that was not great, nor the iced coffee. Make sure to ask for a carafe of water, which is free. Plus we ordered two desserts, Tarte Citron, which tasted like Key Lime pie, it was very good, and the Millifuelle Framboise, which was my favorite. The four of us shared them and honestly it’s just a preference, it was two against two. I felt the raspberry was less sweet and the lemon was sweeter. I like less sweet, so again just a preference. Someone took pictures of umbrellas outside and a very nice restaurant. I saw umbrellas across the courtyard, but there were not any where we were eating, so I’m not sure if someone has confused them or if there are two on the property. There might have been a forth page on the menu that I forgot to take. Our bill was around 137.00 Euros

To be honest, had really high expectations for their hot chocolate but maybe my palate isn’t refined enough for that!I ordered hot chocolate and an iced coffee, both were average. But the ambience is lovely and people are polite. Waiting time was too long and getting a table is not easy. I would rather not give into the hype.

The original plan was to visit the Angelina outside the Louvre to experience the infamous hot chocolate and Montblanc. But since that location didn't open until later, we were strapped for time, we happened to be visiting the Louvre anyway, and there was no line for this location (located inside the Louvre) for 11 am on a Sunday, we decided to just go with it.We sat and placed our order for the items I mentioned + a coffee. After we ordered, I noticed there were a few empty tables next to the window, which had a view of the pyramid. Since they didn't seem too busy and no one was being seated there, I asked the hostess if it was possible to move over. I was met with an attitude and a terse not right now" and she of course never got back to us

I think this is just hyped. Or maybe I just ordered the wrong food. We went here for a snack. I didn’t find anything special except the place where you can see the Louvre Pyramid and Eiffel Tower. The chocolate was okay: One cup is good for two as, i think, it is too much for me that i had to add water or more milk. The Mont Blanc was okay too. I loved their signature tea tho: very refreshing and not overpowering and the dessert of the day, unfortunately, i forgot it’s name, that was yummy!

Price is not too bad for the quality of the food. Not sure if we have a small appetite or the serving is just really big. The server we had was very warm and friendly and made our Angelina experience very good. Probably would not recommend the dessert that we had (last photo).
