Maître Olivier BERNARD

I would give the Olivier Bernard zero stars if I could. When the house was sold the money went missing for 3 weeks - the bank said they hadn't received it and it had apparently been paid into a central account, and the notaire never advised me or them to pay off the mortgage. This is unforgivable, I got charged bank fees and it caused huge stress. Do not touch with a barge pole.

Bought our house here in France in 2017 using M. Bernard. A bit late for a review I know but we're now using him for something else and I was startled to see these negative reviews. Certainly didn't reflect our experience. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently with prompt responses to emails etc. I have only positive things to say about our experience.

My experience was very good and a professional hands-off property completion. I have read other reviews but I must say that my purchase of a house in Quillan using M Bernard went perfectly well. I did have a good team of Immobilière and general admin help but on the other hand, the purchase was completed during COVID lockdown and the seller was in hospital on his death bed. I did not even have to go to Quillan to sign anything, and the purchase was completed by power of attorney.I leave this review because I think it's important to give credit where it is due but appreciate things may have gone wrong for others. Also, if things go well people don't usually leave reviews because the job was done well, as it should be. I would say give this Notaire a chance and be confident and positive.

A very good notaire who speaks reasonable english like all notaires things can be a bit slower than one wants but there is always a friendly voice at the other end of the line to answer questions

I wish I could say otherwise but I could not in all conscience find anything positive to say about M. Olivier Bernard. I could not advise anyone to employ him for any purpose. I have given one star because that is the minimum required to post a review. In truth one star is too high a rating
