Simplement superbe à découvrir entre gastronomie, architecture et une énorme page de notre histoire. Les plages sont toutes simplements exquises. A découvrir absolument sa côte ses villes, ses bocages....et ses ports. Les plages de Normandie un joyau. 5 étoiles +

Lieu de commémoration on y retrouve un monument dédié.Dommage que certaines personnes ne comprennent pas qu'il ne faut pas fouler le pas afin de ne pas la dégrader.Il faudrait je pense revoir l'avertissement qui c'est vrai est un peu trop bas pour être bien vu.

A voir...pour se souvenir. Le port artificiel est impressionnant. Le village d'Arromanches est mignon. Parking payant 3€ sur une esplanade qui surplombe.

Somber experience. I happened to visit on the D-Day anniversary. You can envision the troops landing. A timeless place. Peaceful now. I saw horses riding on the beach. Stayed in a bed and breakfast - super cozy - old building - warm baguettes dropped in our mailbox in the morning.

Lieu rempli d’histoire. Le débarquement du 6 juin 1944 sur les plages de Normandie fut la plus grande opération amphibie et aéroportée de tous les temps. C’est un lieu très prisé pour se recueillir et ainsi rendre hommage aux soldats (canadiens,britanniques et américains) qui ont libéré la France.

UK & US troops landed here in 1944 to liberate Europe from fascist germany - the beach and its museums are worth a visit, even if you dont plan to swim
