Très belle découverte de ce restaurant, les plats sont délicieux aux saveurs Mexicaines, présentés avec élégance. Nous avons passé un agréable moment et avons également apprécié le service avec une hôtesse souriante et charmante. Je vous conseille vivement cette adresse !

Une découverte et une aventure. Il y a les couleurs, les odeurs et enfin les goûts de cette cuisine soignée. Le service, et même le chef, sont aux petits soins. Nous sommes régalés. Merci

This place was a wonderful find for our group of 4 from the United States. We did the tasting menu (3 course). We also tried all of the special cocktails throughout our group. The food was amazing and our waiter and the owner of the place went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Nous sommes des amateurs cuisine mexicaine, la VRAIE, depuis longtemps.Aller manger à l’agave revient à faire un aller retour à Mexico en une soirée.Les plats sont les uns après les autres authentiques, originaux, réinventés et les desserts…. In cro yables.Le chef est venu discuter pendant un bon moment avec nous pour s’excuser du fait que le service avait été long et nous a expliqué que c’était à cause de la difficulté qu’il avait à recruter.Sa gentillesse et sa chaleur a fini de nous convaincre sur le fait que ce restaurant n’est pas seulement bon mais il est EXCELLENT.

I can't say enough good things about L'Agave. I think they embody exactly why it's said that the French have the best food. Every morsel and bite of each dish is something worth savoring. I only did the 3 courses but perhaps next time I would opt for the tasting menu to really try out everything. What I had though was quite exceptional in itself. From the amuse-bouche, to the starter, the main, dessert and after, I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Props to the chef for creating such great balances of flavors and textures, even with twists like adding insects to the dish such as they would do in Mexico or using jalapeños for some spice, or adding freshness with fruits like mango flavors or pears/apples. My favorite dish was definitely the dessert and I'd go back just for it! The textures and the flavors they managed to encompass in that dish was absolutely amazing. I could have that for days.On top of that the staff were excellent and so very kind. It did get a bit busy at the height of the dinner service but they dishes were spaced out evenly and brought out in great time. They accommodated me as a non-French speaking person and introduced each dish very well.I would definitely recommend to anyone to eat here, even with the limited menu because I think people need to experience this wonder! Hope to go back one day. The experience eating here makes me want to move to a France just so I can relive this experience more often.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking the streets of Nantes. Fabulous food and fabulous service. French cousine with Mexican flare. The specialty cocktails were fun and refreshing. Excellent wine list. The duck tacos melted in your mouth followed by pork that fell apart and was paired with a phenomenal tomatillo sauce. Well worth the price and a stop in!

It's the kind of restaurant that attracts you by is concept, but that over-delivers on the quality and overall experience.Friendly but not pretentious service, with expert advice on terms of wine and mezcal, of you feel experimental like I did..Well-crafted plates.And then... Exceptional balance in terms of taste, while being daring in individual ingredients. I took the 75€ tasting menu, comprising 5 dishes, be each with multiple ingredients that were beautifully integrated (think grapefruit, fried pineapple, octopus, and homemade fermented spicy sauce, using either matcha or crickets). Each dish managed to surprise, challenge the mind a priori, but definitely convince the mouth.On my shortlist when I go back to Nantes!

Nous sommes deux étudiants qui n’avons pas l’occasion de manger gastronomique et pour nos trois ans nous avons voulu tenter l’expérience chez l’Agave. Nous sommes très satisfait dans un premier temps du service, avec un serveur à l’écoute et toujours de bons conseils. Ensuite la nourriture était à la hauteur de nos attentes, les portions sont adaptées en fonction de si vous prenez un menu en 3 temps où en 5 temps (je vous conseil de vraiment tout goûter!!). Les margaritas étaient très bonnes, malheureusement j’ai pas pu terminer mon verre car j’étais pompette. Félicitations au chef et au plaisir ;)
