Promenade Martin Luther King

One can get a splendid view of Bordeaux city and the river while strolling along Promenade Martin Luther King Jr admiring the scenery. According to my research, a new road will soon be named after him. Currently, the road is unnamed in Google Maps.

A fitting homage to Martin Luther King Jr bestowed by this great city of Bordeaux created this promenade. It's a lovely and tranquil walk alongside Quai des Salinières from the Eco-Citizens House (which faces Porte Cailhau) and Parc des Sports Saint-Michel. Even on an overcast December day when I was exploring this promenade, I was quite content with the surroundings of the stunning classical buildings on one side and the Garrone River with Pont de Pierre on the other side. It's used by walkers, joggers and dog walkers. There's a public lavatory here and kids playground. There are at least two tram stops nearby this promenade. I can imagine it being a beautiful spot on a balmy summer evening. Worth exploring.

Se promener le long des berges de la Garonne est légitime. La municipalité a créé des espaces variés et bien pensés. Difficile cependant d'ignorer le brouhaha généré par la circulation automobile. Reste qu'il est devenu aventureux d'y flâner. De nombreuses personnes y séjournent et interpellent les passants parfois avec véhémence. Un renfort de forces publiques ne serait que bienvenu.
