Great bike rental service! I borrowed a carbon road bike for a week for about €200. Jean-Paul was very helpful and quick to respond to emails. Don't let the terrible website put you off! Helmet, pump, inner tube and lock were included (very basic lock though, so bring a better one if you want to lock the bike in town while sightseeing).

I rented a bike from Apolo Cycles in Bergerac for a 400-mile camping tour through Dordogne, Lot and Cantal. The proprietor Jean Paul Bourgeois was incredibly helpful in making sure I got the best bike and equipment for the trip, and also supplied panniers, bar bag, helmet, lock, pump, replacement inner tubes and a puncture repair kit. Jean Paul has quite q wide range of bikes because he also supplies hire bikes to several large campsites in the area. He speaks excellent English and for a small extra fee (20 euros) he delivered and collected the bike to Bergerac airport. He even fitted my own SPD pedals, which I took with me. You can pay by credit card when you collect the bike. (He is a member of the private Aero Club, which has a building right next door to the terminal.) I was really pleased with the light cross bike he provided me: it wasn't heavy, but strong enough to carry my equipment, and had hydraulic disc brakes, which is very reassuring in the mountains. I will definitely hire from Apolo again.

We rented some bikes from Apolo and the service was fantastic. Make sure to ring up first to book as this is the home address. The bikes are actually stored in the city centre in a garage. Jean Paul was fantastic and really helpful. Speaks great English. 15 euros per bike for the day. Helmets, puncture repair, satchels etc. were all included. Merci. Jake, Neil and Lewis.

I hired an Oxford E bike for a few days in August. The bike was in excellent condition and came with the basic accessories that i needed (lock, repair kit). My first time with an e-bike and Jean-Paul gave me all the advice I needed for a few days of great cycling. Thank very much for such great service.
