Ecluse de Metz
The canal of the iron mines of the Moselle, also called Camifémo, goes from Metz to Thionville and includes 4 locks and the junction of Hagondange. This is one of these points.Work began in 1867 and the canal was opened in 1932, the Metz section not having been completed until the 1920s-30s.It is still currently active with a beautiful wooden gate that opens up to let the water out.Though the area isn't that special it is great for families to see the ships pass through and enjoy the river.
