La clé d'Opale

Après un premier séjour dans cet établissement, nous y sommes revenues avec plaisir pour son calme, son accueil chaleureux et ses chambres très confortables.

[Séjour avec mon amie du 25 au 27 février 2021]Service impeccable. L'hôte a su s'adapter convenablement aux restrictions sanitaires concernant les repas en chambre (au passage tous excellents).Batiment bien placé. Nous recommandons.

Maison d'hôte avec beaucoup de cachet et de caractère. L'accueil d'Isabelle est très agréable, soucieuse du bien être de ses hôtes et attentionnée. La chambre est meublée avec beaucoup de goût et très propre. Le petit déjeuner est copieux avec des produits frais. Je recommande cet établissement, vous y passerez un bon séjour.

The location is excellent for passers by and maybe for one night only. The room was very clean and very tidy and so was the bathroom. I was given only 'ONE' tea bag to take to the room on the first night, but there were a couple of coffee sachets in the the room. We could not find any decent restaurants near, there were maybe 2 along the street that the landlady recommended to us, but we saw no people dinning there at all just maybe one person, so we thought that it couldn't be good if there's no people there or maybe we just went at the wrong time. After 9pm we just returned to the room defeated and wondering why we booked this place, however, we found a great little supermarket near and got some snacks, fresh fruits and freshly pressed orange juice. We did not get fresh towels on second day, having put the used ones on the sink to be taken away, but they were hung again for re-use!!??, We never had this before, not in a 4-5 star rated hotel/BB. I told my husband to ask for fresh towels but we were quite intimidated by the constant appearance of the landlady plus been told at every opportunity to make sure we did not slam any door because the building will vibrate!!. We were frightened to open or close any doors really. I must say that on the second day after returning for various other places, the room looked very nice and tidy but I did not like the fact that my suitcase was moved from where I left it and so were our toothbrushes. We honestly felt that we were imposing on her property and did not do things the way she wanted us to, there were flies in the room , not sure where they came from because there was no way of opening windows etc (this was rather annoying). Any time we moved anywhere she seems to appear right next to us, to be honest, it was quite creepy!, maybe the landlady only wanted to be helpful but it felt quite invasive of our space. We felt like we were at school again and frightened to say or do anything! There was no TV in the room but this is our fault for not checking the facilities in the place and perhaps it was a good thing so we did talk about things. We didn't want to use our iPad in case we were told off by the noise. Pillows were terrible and ready to be changed for new ones. Breakfast was awful, bad orange juice (rancid) gave us indigestion and terrible tin fruit salad that tasted bad as well (old) but the worse was that we were asked if we needed a clean plate for an omelette after having one to start with! the croissants and pan chocolate were nice and fresh but I don't eat that kind of things because dairy allergies, but again she did not know this. On the second day I did not go down for breakfast but my husband went just for good manners. I really wanted to go elsewhere but unfortunately we booked for two nights and we were not sure if we loose the money for the second night, but we contemplated this strongly. On our departure the landlady was very kind to let us know that I left one my earnings in the room which was most appreciated, she must have just jumped to the room we stayed. To make things worse and as we got in the car, we realised the seagulls had blasted an almighty poo in our car front window while she was watching us cleaning it! (NICE! )...Don't park outside the hotel apparently the birds do this everyday , that's what she said. Finally, as school children , we were told to write: 'not a good review but an excellent one'! Well, we just couldn't! sorry! it was not even good.

Magnifique maison de maître, chambre cosy et accueil chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner était complet et le pain/viennoiseries très frais.

We were there 21 June, 2018. The room was lovely, and the breakfast terrific. The host provided restaurant recommendations, and the meal was great; local wines very good. The city is beautiful, with many parks.

Lovely place with a good breakfast.We enjoyed our stay in this central location. As the owner is from Calais she was very helpful regarding places to see where to eat and the free Baladin bus.As you are staying in a family home there are certain niceties to be observed so not suitable for noisy boozy folks.

Excellent séjour. Isabelle très accueillante et humaine elle rendra votre séjour parfait! N'hésitez pas vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Propre, spacieux, du cachet et la tranquillité

Accueil très agréable, établissement bien au delà de nos attentes. Literie très confortable, chambre très propre. La maison est pleine de charme et idéalement située. Nous recommandons cette adresse.

C’était notre deuxième séjour à La Clé d’Opale, et encore une fois, Isabelle nous a accueilli parfaitement. Sa gentillesse, sa prévenance et la qualité de ses services et de son accueil en font un établissement de grande qualité que je recommande à 200%.

Très bien reçu, accueil très chaleureux de la gérante et les chambres très bonnes et propres.Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de notre visite et recommandons ce lieu
