Beautiful chateau with fantastic hosts.

This place is truly extraordinary. Private, friendly and super well equipped for self catered stay, it has everything you need. Clean, well organised and in a great area, there is plenty to do. However, I think relaxing by the pool and taking in the history is enough. Great holiday or group stay location.

We celebrated my husbands birthday party at Chateau de Chanzé with friends coming from Germany, Austria and New Zealand. The Chateau and it’s Gites are lovingly furnished and spotlessly clean. Michael and Sonia are wonderful hosts who looked after us exceptionally well. They suggested many outstanding experiences for our group, arranged caterers and made reservations for us.A true gem in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley and a fabulous place for group events.

Ein Chateau wie aus dem Bilderbuch, gerade groß genug, um eine Gruppe oder große Familie zu beherbergen. Wer hier heiratet, bekommt eine Traumhochzeit. Erholung pur, dank Michael und Sonja fühlt man sich pudelwohl und in guten Händen. Ein Aufenthalt ist Erholung pur, umrankt von Geschichte und Natur und bester französischer Kulinarik.

What an amazing place. The château is beautifully and tastefully restored. The owners have done an amazing job at making all the spaces practical which isn't easy in an ancient building.The swimming pool is great, with plenty of loungers, lovely shaded areas and even an outside shower.The flats by the pool in the old farm building are very pretty and have everything you need.Everything is immaculate, even the grounds.Absolutely love it!

We stayed at Chanze with a group of friends for 4 days. Michael and Sonia are just lovely, everything was perfect. They arranged for us all the accommodations and amenities we wanted before our arrival. We had everything we needed and more. The castle is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. We spent 4 days out of time. I highly recommend this experience, we never lived something similar before. Thank you so much to our hosts <3

It might have taken us over 3 years to finally make it to the Chateau for our very delayed wedding party, but in the end it was so absolutely worth it!This place really is magical and is such fantastic value for what you get. We had just over 30 people stay comfortably in the Chateau and cottages for a long weekend, with external suppliers providing tables, chairs and catering for a dinner on Saturday night. The old castle itself is just stunning - still can't quite believe it was somewhere we got to call home for a few days.In the long road to us finally getting there, Michael has been absolutely brilliant - working with local suppliers to replan our event not once, not twice, but three times. He also hosts a fab wine tasting which I would definitely recommend!Despite being a thousand years old, its spotless and has all the amenities you could need. The Super U is a 3 min drive down the road which also stocks fantastic local wines, and the Chateau serves as great base for exploring the local area. Also loads of parking (we comfortably accommodated around 15 cars).Massive thank you to Michael for everything, and we are definitely plotting a future return!

Absolutely stunning château with beautiful rooms, large dining hall and outdoor tables. Perfect for groups as it has additional accommodation in a row of cottage like buildings that open out over the pool. The pool is a perfect size, has sufficient sun loungers and can be heated.The host is extremely welcoming and friendly, has great knowledge of the surrounding area and the local wines and will accommodate any requests....within reason :)Location is good as well. There's a little village just up the road with a supermarket and the usual patisserie, bar and surrounding vineyards.We had a wonderful experience and would love to go back a second time, highly recommended!

The Chateau is so beautiful, arriving here was truly a magical moment. We got in just as the sun was beginning to set and it felt like we were stepping into a fairytale. Our entire time here was the perfect blend of old world charm and modern amenities. Cannot recommend highly enough!
