I was in Marseille with a ship. Very nice qnd beautiful city even though I was not for so long there. Anyway, we went to buy a kebab and we went to something like ghetto with muslim and black people only, but they were kind. I guess its only during the day tho.

Mr. Veer Savarkar tried to escape from the clutches of British captivity at this location. We were not allowed to enter the area. But we were standing barely 100 mtrs away from the spot where the Ship, carrying Mr. Veer Savarkar ‘Morrea’, was standing at the port in 1911.Goosebumps while we were at the location. History would have been rewritten had he been successful in his attempt. There are legal papers at the international court of Law at Den Haag, where the case was argued and it states that it was this location where Mr. Savarkar jumped into the sea. Grandson of Karl Marx had fought the case for Mr. Savarkar - isn’t it strange to know? One can check the facts on Google. This is restricted area and no through-fare allowed. Hence, we could not get any permission while we went searching for this place. We were wondering if we might had been standing and shooting at the place where Mr. Savarkar might have reached while he tried a run - very memorable visit though not to the exact point. One must visit Marseille and then this place if visiting Europe. This is an inspirational place.Do not know if during day time, it might be allowed to go inside. There is a bus stop here 50 mtrs away and it takes hardly 20 minutes by Bus to reach here from the main Train station.
