I definitely recommend this school for anyone who wants to learn/improve their French. I look forward to taking classes there again in the near future.I took French classes at l'Ecole Haudecoeur for two weeks during the summer of 2018. My french improved greatly. My favorite part was that the classes are full immersion. My teacher was Edwige, and our private lessons were completely in French. That made a huge difference as I was really encouraged to use the vocabulary and practice the tenses I had just learned as much as possible. After just a few classes I could see my confidence go up when interacting with the locals in French, because of how good the lessons wereAnother great thing I noticed is that they really care about the students. I had signed up for group classes for two weeks and private lessons just one week. After my first group class, Edwige realized the level was too basic for me, and offered to give me private lessons for an additional week without charging me extra. I was also contacted by the director, Marie, to make sure I was okay with those new arrangements. Edwige still invited me to continue attending the group classes if I wanted, which I really appreciated as I was able to interact with others and review things I had learned years ago, while diving into a more advance/new French lessons during our private classes. She always made us feel welcomed, offered us something to drink, and made us feel safe and confident to speak a foreign language.It was a truly amazing experience! I always left feeling great, accomplished, and eager to practice the French I had learned while site-seeing the beautiful Strasbourg and its surrounding towns. Hands down, one of the best regions in France. It is a must visit, and Strasbourg is one the best places to stay: the city has many beautiful places to see and you can easily travel to the nearby towns. You can take morning classes at l'Ecole Haudecoeur, and explore the rest of the day and weekends.Best decision, classes, adventure and overall investment on yourself you can make!

I had a very good experience in this school. The teacher (Edwige) has a professional attitude and the teaching process was organized in a very nice manner. Although I couldn’t attend so many classes as I would like to, the progress in my French knowledge has been developed significantly comparing to my first lesson. The school also organizes some events like scrabble game night which helps to improve the vocabulary. I highly recommend this school.

Ça fait 4 mois que j'ai commencé à suivre des cours à cette école et je ne regrette absolument pas! le programme est très personnalisé (en d’autres mots, adapté à vos besoins et à vos objectifs, vous n’aurez donc pas besoin de répéter des sujets inutiles), les enseignants sont tout simplement extraordinaires (j’ai eu l’occasion de travailler avec deux d’entre eux - Edwige et Clemance, tous deux sont très professionnels et amicaux, je dirais même plus amicaux que le français habituel;) et ce qui est important - ils sont très différents! Edwige est une dame du heavy metal, alors que Clemance est un peu plus douce, mais pas facile non plus. Le problème, c’est que l’école est plus orientée vers les cours privés, mais vous pouvez compter pour au moins un cours en groupe par semaine. vous aurez également un bon choix d'activités extra-scolaires telles que les ateliers de conversation aux bars, où vous pourrez discuter de différentes questions d'actualité autour d'un verre de vin ou d'une pinte de bière et d'activités en immersion telles que la visite de magasins, une poste, etc. Ce n’est pas l’école la moins chère de Sbg, mais abordable. et ça paye certainement quand on pense à ses professeurs et à ses étudiants! Un bon bonus est que les professeurs parlent un très bon anglais et Edwige parle également le russe! bonne chance l'Ecole Haudecoeur!It’s been 4 months since I started taking courses at this school and by all means I don’t regret! the program is very customized (in other words adjusted to your needs and goals, so you don’t need to repeat useless topics), the teachers are just amazing (i had an opportunity to work with 2 of them - Edwige and Clemance, both are very proffesional and friendly, i’d even say more friendly than the usual french ;) and what’s important - they are very different! Edwige is a heavy metal lady, whereas Clemance is a bit softer , but not an easy one too) the bad thing is that the school is more oriented at private classes, but you can count for at least one group class a week. also you get a nice choice of off-school activities such as les ateliers de conversation at the bars where you can discuss different current issues at a glass of wine or a pint of beer and immersion activities like visiting stores, a post-office, etc. it’s not the cheapest school in Sbg, but reasonable. and certainly pays off when you think of its teachers and students! a good bonus is that teachers speak pretty good English, and Edwige speaks Russian as well! good luck l'Ecole Haudecoeur!

J’ai passé une séjour inoubliable à l’école Haudecoeur. Mon professeur Edwige m’a enseigné pendant 15 heures et elle a créé des exercices qui correspondaient à mes intérêts et à mes connaissances de français. On a beaucoup rigolé et comme ça apprendre une langue étrangère fait beaucoup de plaisir. Je suis très heureuse que j’ai choisi cette école et je peux fortement la recommander.

The language classes at Marie-France and Audrey are great. Much better than others that I had previously. They are both great and patient teachers who listen to your needs. The social activities are a great way to put your new language skills to good use and to get to know new people and the beautiful city of Strasbourg and the Alsace region. Highly recommended!

Haudecoeur school is a very nice and cosy place. I was absolutely happy with my teacher Marie-France and our lessons. As a former student of Haudecoeur, I believe Marie France (Founder of the school) has created the ultimate environment for learning a new language. Her impeccable model of maximum 4 students per group makes Haudecoeur Language school truly stands out in my personal opinion. I have witnessed, in multiple classes, how she and her staff tailor each lesson to students needs and touch upon their language weaknesses. I have always felt a special attention to my progress during each class. And I can’t ask for more than that. I wholeheartedly recommend this school for those who are interested in learning French.Job well done Marie for creating this wonderful establishment. If there are 6 stars out of 5, I would give them to you.

Marie-France and Audrey are both excellent teachers, super friendly and patient. The classes are dynamic and tailored-made according to the needs of each student.I highly recommend Ecole Haudecoeur to anyone seeking to learn or improve his/her French!

Je viens de finir mon cours de la langue française à l’école du Haudecoeur et je dois dire que c'était une expérience très intéressante. Le système scolaire est basé sur l’amélioration des compétences linguistiques des élèves à travers la communication. Je me sens plus à l’aise avec mon français grâce à la méthode pédagogique appliquée par Marie, puisque le choix des sujets et l’atmosphère étaient idéales pour l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère.

As a complete beginner I spent one week of intensive studying French at Ecole Haudecoeur. My teacher Edwige gave me an excellent basis of the French language. She adapted the course to my goals and my speed of learning.Learning French in the historic centre of Strasburg was a great experience.I can only recommend the Ecole Haudecoeur
