Highly recommend Allied Victory Tours! Mike picked my family up from our lodge in his comfortable, spacious van right on time. We spent the whole day with him and we all enjoyed every minute. What I appreciated was his ability to provide a great, solid overview of the history that everyone could understand and then he was happy to delve into more details and anecdotes depending on our questions. He also knows when to let the group chill out and admire the countryside during the drives vs when to talk. We were traveling with my two year old and Mike was very patient and accommodating with her, which made the visit non-stressful for me. You can't get this kind of an experience no matter how many museums you visit, so if you can, see if you can spend a day with Mike! Memorable, meaningful, educational, and fun experience guaranteed!

After years of discussion, we finally had opportunity to take my father-in-law to Normandy so that he can see where his father came ashore during WWII. Leading up to our tour, Mike was very responsive in all communication and even completed some research to share what information he could locate on grandpa's division. While Mike offered us the opportunity to visit some towns through which the division marched, given time constraints, we opted for the more traditional D-Day sites, which included Omaha Beach where grandpa came ashore. Mike's passion for and deep knowledge of WWII history, along with his masterful storytelling, made for a truly memorable experience. Our group of 7 learned so much more from Mike than we ever would from reading or watching about the history and we gained a greater appreciation for those who served and fought. Lastly, knowing my father-in-law's father served in Normandy, Mike arranged for us to have lunch at a restaurant where children of WWII veterans are able to write an acknowledgement or memorial for their parent(s) on the wall - and even post a photo of the vet - if so desired. Hands down, an once in a lifetime experience, he will never forget!!! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone — and will definitely do so by mouth to friends at home. Mike was brilliant! He made the tour both informative and enjoyable for a wide range of audiences, which included myself (a 45-year-old with a fair amount of D-Day and WWII knowledge) and my wife and kids (who ranged from slight prior to knowledge to almost zero). He catered to our wants, made it easy to get around (picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel), told us stories I’d never heard, and kept us entertained. After experiencing a disappointing tour with another company years ago, Mike made this one a true success, and if we ever get back this way, we’ll be looking to join up with him again. Cheers, Mike!

Absolutely fabulous personalized tour allowed us to see, feel, and honor those vital days and weeks in which Allied Forces saved the world from Nazism. Mike is knowledgeable without arrogance, passionate and organized but easygoing and fun. It was a privilege to meet him and his wife Deb and to stay in their B&B as well as taking the tour with Mike. Women of Valour, the private museum at their B&B, is not to be missed!

Somebody asked for a recommendation for a visit to Normandy and it made me remember this trip. Just an incredible experience all around. Mike was perfect—knowledgeable, respectful, and super helpful. When he found out my wife’s grandfather landed at Normandy he changed the route to take us to the plaque memorializing his unit. Could not have had a better experience.

Michael was amazing. From when he picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux till the end, he made our tour amazing for my wife and I as well as our 10 year old twins. He is not only informative but fun. It felt like he let us choose the next stop. We focused on the American landings on this trip and plan to return for the British/Canada landings with Michael. He managed to time our tour to end with the US flags being lowered at the cemetery. Cannot recommend Michael enough!

A beautiful place dedicated to the American soldiers who fought and fell there. Run by two history lovers, there is also a museum with the largest collection of female uniforms in the world. We had a wonderful time at this wonderful place ❤

Our full-day American D-Day tour with Mike was unanimously voted by our family of 6 as the highlight of our two weeks in France! Our group ranged in age from 32 to 85, with varying knowledge levels regarding D-Day, as well as some mobility challenges. Mike responded to my initial inquiry about the physical requirements of the tour with suggested itinerary changes. We elected to stick with the original itinerary, and my 85-year old mother enjoyed herself so much, that she didn’t once consider sitting out any of the sites.Mike’s passion for the subject, his deep knowledge, and his care for his clients combine to make a fascinating and enjoyable day. We have a much better appreciation for the challenges, sacrifices, perseverance, heroism, and human cost of victory in Normandy.Thank you, Mike, for being the perfect guide!

We booked Mike for a full day tour based on reviews online. My family has done private tours elsewhere in Europe and everyone agreed this was the best tour they have ever done. His knowledge of not just the main battlegrounds but also the stories around the area were amazing. Not only did we visit Omaha Beach, the American Normandy cemetery, and Point De Hauc…but we also visited Utah beach, a small church were 2 soldiers helped over 80 wounded paratroopers before D-Day, as well as the infamous church with the paratrooper hanging from the steeple featured in the Longest Day movie. The information provided at each site as well as the region around it were presented in a way that anyone can understand and appreciate.We recommend Mike and this tour to anyone and everyone who may be interested in learning about this part of history and this area, as this is the best tour possible!
