Truchet Penthouse

The apartment is located on the top floor of a typical building of the era and is accessed by a beautiful spiral stone staircase. It is in a great location being only a few steps from the Forum where there is a multitude of cafes and restaurants to choose from but as it is in a pedestrian lane is still very peaceful. The shopping area and all historical sites are is also very close and the Rhone promenade just round the corner.The apartment itself spans two levels. The views from the top level lounge area and bedroom, over the roof tops and the Rhone are spectacular. It has been recently renovated and decorated in a modern style without losing any of the heritage features and is spotlessly clean. All the amenities needed in a holiday home are available including high speed Wi-Fi.The roof top terrace is delightful and is a great spot for breakfast or an evening aperitif, but as there is no cover or awning in the long days of summer can be very hot in the afternoon until sunset.Nelly the apartment caretaker was a delight. The owner Damien was also very responsive and accommodating and very helpful.

We were very pleased with the Truchet Penthouse in Arles. The location was perfect for us. Easy walk to many cafes, to the Saturday market, to other shopping, and to sites like the Arena. Also it was an easy and lovely walk to the train station, which we used for many short trips from Arles. The street was quiet in the evening.The apartment is very pretty. It was spotlessly clean. Lovely view of the Rhone from one bedroom. Appliances and air conditioning were modern and worked well. Beds were comfortable. It felt right to stay in a historic building for a visit to Arles.There are two showers, but only one toilet, which was slightly inconvenient during the time that four of us were in the apartment.The host and his assistant were very pleasant and helpful.If we return to Arles, we would definitely stay in the Truchet Penthouse.

Tout simplement Génial!Magnifique appartement duplex, cuisine fonctionnelle, chacune des chambres à sa propre douche, la déco est très soignée et SURPRISE la terrasse. Se réveiller avec vue sur le Rhône un vrai plaisir, dépaysement garanti. L appartement est en plein centre historique, on ne peut pas trouver plus centrale et c est calme, pas un bruit, c était un bonheur !À la prochaine !

Chaleur étouffante sans climatisation dans cet appartement sous les toits d'Arles. 3 étages en colimaçon pour y parvenir finissent de vous epuiser.

All the amenities needed in a holiday home are available including high speed Wi-Fi.Each bedroom has its own modern en-suite bathroom with rain shower but one point to note is that there is only one toilet which is off the dining area. A small improvement that would make longer stays more comfortable is the addition of hanging space in the upstairs bedroom and drawer space in the downstairs bedroom.The modern eat-in kitchen on the lower level overlooks an internal courtyard. It can comfortably seat six, is cool and light and has a great selection of appliances and utensils.The roof top terrace is delightful and a great spot for breakfast or an evening aperitif, but as there is no cover or awning on the long days of summer it can be very hot in the afternoon until sunset.Nelly the apartment caretaker was a delight. Une belle surprise de dernière minute. Nous avons réservé cet appartement pour une halte à Arles. L'appartement au dernier étage d'un immeuble près de la place du Forum est un petit coin de paradis. Mention spéciale pour la déco !

Superbe appartement ! Très lumineux et vue magnifique sur la ville et le Rhône. Nous avons passé un séjour parfait.

Un appartement idéalement situé dans le centre historique d’Arles, un intérieur décoré avec beaucoup de goût et surtout une vue panoramique de la terrasse sur la ville et le Rhône. Nous avons passé un excellent moment et Damien le propriétaire est toujours disponible pour aider.
