Château d'Escurac

Merete gave us a wonderful tour of the vineyard and chateau. She is very passionate about her bio diverse approach and we enjoyed hearing about her methods. And we really enjoyed tasting the wines in the old chapel. It’s a very peaceful property with lots of wildlife including peacocks. Thanks again Merete!

Ein wunderschönes Chateau.Die Führung durch die Besitzerin war sehr umfangreich und sehr interessant.Neben dem geschichtlichen Werdegang des Weinguts wurde detailliert der Weinanbau und die Herstellung des Weines beschrieben. Die Führung dauerte 90 Minuten plus der Weinprobe.Die Führung wurde in englischer Sprache geführt.Es war kein Problem sich einer Gruppe anzuschließen, obwohl wir nicht angemeldet waren.

Really nice place with amazing views, peacocks and other animals roaming around. Amazing building/Chateau!The lady explained everything in details about the history of the building, the wine making process, followed by wine tastings. Learnt a lot about wines thanks to the lovely guide. Impressed that the chemicals are not used for vines. Will be looking out for the wines back home.

AS an American, I was impressed on the story of the vineyard and the wines they produce. Be sure to add this one to your WINE TASTING TOUR! Madame Landreau was most personable and spoke better English that we could Danish or French. She took us to the fields and showed us the vines and explained how she is trying to go totally organic in her wine making program for the vineyard. And, make the farm self sustaining. Her daughter owns the facility, but is not into the nuts and bolts of wine making, but more in the management and growth of the vineyards recognition. Do stop in and visit and take the tour. I think you will have a better feel for the wines you chose to drink.

Simply the greatest wines of Médoc. The Chateau is located on a hill top with beautiful surroundings together with a nice view of the nature. These wines really have to be tasted in order to understand the quality produced at this location.

We had initially planned to visit here because we saw how close it was to our cruise port terminal (le verdón), but little did we know it would be such a highlight of our day We had such a wonderful visit. Meret went out of her way to show us her amazing grounds and teach us about their hsitory and production. She is most welcoming, and the place uniquely and beautifully rustic. Happy to discover they are producing biodynamic wines too. The absolute cherry on top (especially for my 14 month old)was getting to interact w her peacocks and chickens in her yard overlooking the church and vineyard. Stop by if you are in the area. And if you are arriving on a cruise like we did, it's only 25 min away!
