Thrifty Car Rental Aeroport de Nimes

Just about as smooth a process as I could of hoped for. Can't speak for other locations but the service I received at Nimes airport was great. Small airport with the hire desk just through arrivals and the car park literally across the road.

They stole 200 euros from us, in my personal opinion.On the good side - the desk processed our pick up quickly and efficiently, the staff were friendly. The car was in good condition. They had detailed notes on the car damage. The car was missing a hubcap but they were happy when we pointed it out.There were lots of strange things too however - we booked through Dollar, the receipt was from Thrifty and when we followed up later that was through Hertz. The invoicing was exceptionally unclear and indecipherable. The car appeared to have a full tank but very shortly after taking the car the fuel meter read less than full, suggesting it had been carefully filled to appear full only.The problems came after we returned the car. We returned it full, and have photographic evidence of that and the receipt from the local garage for the refill, but they charged us, later, for a full refill with filling costs (200 euros). We followed up with them directly, and also with Hertz and with the credit card company. 4 months later we are still chasing. They have been incredibly uncommunicative and obstructionist about the incident. As yet no funds have been returned.I would advise staying away from this apparently very disreputable franchise.

There wasn't much info about them online when I booked so hopefully this helps someone. Hertz, Thrifty and Dollar car are all at the same rent desk as soon as you enter the main building on the right. They are open unusual hours but this due to it being a small regional airport but they are open to meet all arriving and departing flights. The cars are parked directly across the road. My experience couldn't of been more straight forward and we was ungraded which was nice. If you need to call them before you're pickup just google the number for hertz nimes - its the same. I booked with Dollar but had a hertz contract, car and contact details. I didn't see a petrol station nearby but there is a large supermarket (Giant) with petrol station on the main road from Nimes to the airport open 24/7.
