Le Boat Jarnac

Très sympathique et agréable séjour. Merci pour l'accueil des employés. Manque passoire pour les pâtes et le riz, plat à gratin dans le four, et quelques bols en plus des tasses.

A wonderful 10 days of cruising up and down the R. Charente between Angouleme and Saintes, with 13 friends on 2 boats. The Le Boat staff at Jarnac were very helpful, providing friendly and very useful service with boat introductions, destination tips, and extra linen.This is our second hire with Le Boat in France, and I recommend them highly.

Très bon accueil de la base de Jarnac. Training avec le technicien suffisant pour manœuvrer le Clipper facilement malgré le manque de propulseur d'étrave.Bâteau et équipements en bon état mais qui méritera un petit rafraîchissement bientôt.Séjour sur la Charente très calme et reposant, seul point négatif les plages ne sont pas très attirante.Toutes les écluses sont manuel et sans éclusiers sauf une donc musclage des bras garantie !

I can't offer much of an objective view as we just strolled along the lovely Charente at Jarnac.We saw Le Boats impressive fleet and commented how they would contribute to a fine holiday afloat.

Super moment de vacances avec un groupe de jeunes !Une expérience différente de nos autres vacances en groupe. Dès notre arrivée et même avant, le voyage a été très bien préparé, les personnes qui nous ont reçus le dimanche étaient au top !Pas de stress une fluidité comme on aime. Le bateau grand classique 14 était spacieux pour les 9 personnes à bord.Je recommande vivement et nous recommenceront l'expérience pourquoi pas sur une nouvelle base ;)A bientôt

The most incredible base and staff! We were so warmly welcomed and everyone was so friendly and patient. The base has a very relaxed atmosphere and the people made it an amazing experience! Thank you very much Jarnac base for your genuine care and hospitality

We had a wonderful week on the Charante from Jarnac with Le Boat. The booking process and communication prior to the trip was clear and straightforward. On arrival at the boatyard our intended boat was unavailable but we were given a free upgrade. The staff at the yard were all really friendly and helpful, with good English skills and explanation of facilities and things to be aware of en route. The boat was very comfortable and easy to use, the Charante very rural and easy to navigate (although the locks are harder work than their UK counterparts!) and we saw lots of wildlife: several herons and kingfishers every day (even in the middle of Saintes), a red squirrel running across a lock and a wonderful half hour one evening with an otter less than 10m from the boat, both in and out of the water. The river upstream from Jarnac was the most picturesque and we went swimming on several days in the river. We mixed evening meals out and on the boat - but do be aware that many French eateries have more restricted opening times than is usual in the UK - so plan accordingly! Obviously a great weeks weather helped but I would thoroughly recommend the Charante as a boating destination and wouldn't hesitate to book with Le Boat again

Belle semaine sur la Charentes à bord du grand Classique.Equipe réactive qui est venue rapidement pour régler un problème d'eau à mi parcours.Le bateau est bien entretenu, c'est une location, donc forcément ça s'abime, mais propre et il y a tout ce qu'il faut à bord!

The people at Le boat Jarnac were excellent especially dealing with a very difficult situation. We had booked our 5th barging trip, a year ago on a vision 3 boat. 4 days before we were commencing the trip we were notified the boat was damaged and there was no other large boat available. We had 5 people booked for the boat and not everyone knew each other. Le boat could only offer us a much smaller boat, 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms which could be awkward. You can imagine our disappointment as we had flown from Australia, friends from the USA and New Zealand so we could not cancel it. When we explained the situation, Le boat then offered us 2 boats with the 2nd one being free. However after much consideration we felt it was challenging managing with 5 people and 2 boats so settled for one small boat, 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms. Not ideal but we managed. The team at Jarnac, were so helpful and did everything they could to ease our disappointment. They are an absolute credit to the organisation. Thank you Romeo and Amelie and to everyone trying to help rescue a potential disaster of a holiday. We still had a great time.

Avons loué un bateau premium de 10 personnes pour une semaine , bruit de pompe incessant dès que l'on tirait de l'eau. Aucune isolation phonique : si par malheur l'un des passagers devait aller aux toilettes la nuit,toute les passagers étaient réveillés .Inadmissible pour le prix de la location.D'autant plus qu'il a fallu payer un supplément pour le carburant, les heures de moteur utilisées ( 4h par jour) ainsi que pour 2h de retard au retour ! SCANDALEUX !surtout que quasiment tous leurs bateaux étaient à quai.Radio et klaxon du pont supérieur HS.Bateau abîmé et vieillissant.Je ne recommande vraiment pas cette compagnie

On a passer un excellent moment. Une expérience unique. Sans compter l'équipe, les techniciens, qui ont tout fait pour qu'on passe une superbe croisière. Je recommande
