My husband and I had the most wonderful time doing this wine tour with Luiz.We opted for the North Burgundy option, and Luiz was wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with.He was so patient with the whole group as we enjoyed the towns he brought us to (so picturesque!) and made learning a bit about the wonderful wines we got to try so accessible and fun.If you’re thinking about doing a wine tour and want something as fun and relaxed as it is high-quality and informative, Luis’s tours are the right fit.

This was an AMAZING experience. We booked this tour for a birthday and just thought we were going to taste champagne however this exceeded our expectations. Our day was filled with learning, laughter, joy, delicious food and memories that will last forever. I definitely will not look at champagne the same. Thank you to Luiz for making our day awesome.

Luis was a phenomenal guide who effortlessly walked us through the history and process of the champagne experience. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the region. Overall this was the highlight of our trip to France and we would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Champagne!

The Champagne tour was amazing and Luiz is the best!Not only he is very knowledgeable about wine (he is a Wset 4!!!), but he can speak about, history, business, curiosities and other aspects of the region and the wines we tasted!Always friendly, he accommodated to our needs of traveling with a baby and even helped us with restaurants and other wine visits / tastings during the rest of our stay.I’ll definitely come back for Burgundy and Loire!

Amazing experience, highly recommend!Luis is a level 4 somm and has placed in blind tasting competitions - truly a privilege to get to do a tour with him! He and his wife were also so friendly and accommodating to our group.The first winery had artwork in the cave, it was like a museum meets winery. Very unique experience.

Simply PHENOMENAL! That is the best way I can describe Luiz and his tour. The passion he has for wine is only part of it. Luiz has a passion for communication as well. He was a wealth of knowledge and shared that knowledge in a way that was fun and enjoyable, not pretentious or academic. I went into this tour truly nervous that I was going to be the “dumb” kid on the trip that everyone laughed at. That could not have been further from reality! I came home more confident than ever in my knowledge of wine, all thanks to the master communicator and educator Luiz.Even if I didn’t like wine, this tour alone would have been a 5 star. Luiz took us into the real France. We went on the back roads away from all that it touristy and into the villages. We wandered narrow streets and alleys with the utmost comfort and confidence that we were being led by a master.Another difference between this tour and the big box tours was that we weren’t being sold anything. We weren’t led into tourist traps or trinket shops. There was no sales pitches. Every other commercial tour we took seemed to either have an upsell component, or you had to run the gauntlet of their chosen “treasures” vendors. Not here. Luiz was passionate about showing us not just how wines of France are great, but also why wines of France are great. In order to understand that you have to be in the villages. You have to be in the actual vineyards. You have to feel the soil and the rocks. Never before have I had someone hold up rocks and explain to me how the geological, the minerals and shells that are clearly visible in the rocks, affect the taste of the wine. How the direction of the hillside affects the amount of sun, which affects the taste. How the elevation and temperatures, including snow, changes the taste of the wine.If you have to choose only one tour while in France, I recommend Luiz. In our 11 days in France this was simply the best value, the best use of our time, and simply the most enjoyable part of our otherwise fantastic voyage to France.I cannot express my appreciation for Luiz, his wonderful hospitality, and his willingness to share his passion for wine enough. My only hope is that this review will serve as some small token of my appreciation, and that it will help someone else to be able to have an equally amazing experience.

Had an amazing time. Our tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He took the experience to a whole different level. History of the area, great food, amazing champagne. I would highly recommend any of the tours.

I can’t say enough good things about Luiz. We visited Barcelona and Paris on this trip. And I can say, without a doubt, our day spent with him was the highlight of our holiday. He really imparted a lot of knowledge about Champagne, both the region and the drink. His tour was very well organized, we never felt rushed, and the wineries he took us to were top notch. What an amazing day! Our original trains were cancelled due to strikes, but Luiz went out of his way to ensure our tour happened. He is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and passionate about champagne. Highly recommend!

Wine Tour Paris is amazing! Luiz couldn’t have been a better guide on our adventure through the champagne region. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and very much admired/respected by all hosts on our tour. We visited multiple locations that provided all manners of perspectives when it comes to making wines and champagnes. The amount of tastings we received was more than expected and the people were fun to be with. Luiz is opening a wine school this fall and that alone may get us back to France.
