Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
Site monumental mais temporairement fermé, à cause de l'incendie qui l'a ravagé, la façade est tout de même visible et une tribune a été installée sur la place en face de la cathédrale pour l'admirer. Mais les palissades de chantier en cachent une bonne partie. L'ampleur des travaux est bien visible côté Seine, donc à longer ,et côté rue sur l'île, une fresque donne des informations sur la cathédrale elle même donc le détour en vaut la chandelle tout de même.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
Even though the interior is closed and the exterior is covered with scaffolding, this is still an essential Paris stop. There are displays in front of the cathedral with helpful information and (when we visited) street musicians outside. We were glad we came. Note: the path and garden behind the cathedral is closed off.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
We got to see it the year before the fire. It was breathtaking and humbling. It is gorgeous and filled with knowledge and history. Ths inside is much bigger than I expected, and it's just amazing to experience the history of the building.

Quel bonheur de revoir aujourd’hui Notre-Dame retrouver sa beauté sous le ciel de Paris et près de la Seine et ses bateaux. Quartier historique magnifique pour faire une balade d’automne en terminant par la visite de la Manufacture et Boutique de la Monnaie de Paris aux couleurs des JO 2024. A découvrir absolument !

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
It is interesting to see ND under reconstruction. There are many boards with information about the reconstruction, the cathedral and its history. I recommend a walk around the whole cathedral, behind it you can see the newly built temporary quarters for the workers involved in the repair.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
C'est le chantier du siècle , depuis l'incendie de Notre Dame de Paris, c'est un chantier colossal qui s'est mis en branle pour redonner à ce qui est l'un des monuments les plus populaires Français , son lustre d'antan . C'est une ville dans la ville , ça grouille de travailleurs, des immeubles de containers ont été érigés à proximité pour tous ces travailleurs et bureaux d'études. Sa rénovation est un spectacle et tout le monde espère la revoir comme avant prochainement .

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
Despite being temporarily closed, Notre-Dame is still worth a visit! The site is still very beautiful and there's lots of information available about the history and restoration of the cathedral. There's even a tiered seating area to sit and enjoy the view or take a nice photo. Will be back to visit when it's open again!

My wife and I visited this famous church for the first time way back in 1997. Then we were here as a family in 2007 and lastly in September of this year my wife and I watched the progress of the repairs together with the others. The reconstruction is progressing very well. Well done.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
It was disappointing that 3/4 of the structure was covered/surrounded by tall metal panels that you couldn’t see through. Even though it’s burned and under construction I would have loved to see more of it. They erected a set of bleachers on the square for the public to sit and look at the front, but to see any of the rest you have to cross the Siene to see over the panels and through the scaffolding.
