AU PETIT MOINE

Favorite café in Paris. Beautiful with mosaic-pillars and huge mirrors from floor to roof around the hole room. Me and my husband visited this place every morning and every evening for one week. We had our morning coffee + pastis every day, and every night, after our daily adventures, we drank our wine here. The same sweet guy worked every day from morning to late night. Hard working and honourable man!

Let's just begin with I had high hopes for this establishment. It offered decent prices for a meal...me my traveling buddy and my father stroll in to be greeted by some older Frenchmen. We sat down and I can't begin to describe to you the horrible condition of this restaurant. One of the employees was smoking behind the bar, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, and the other employees were just sitting around. So I put all this in the back of my mind just looking forward to the well priced meal ahead and order a sirloin steak with fries. While I was waiting for my meal I ordered a Heineken and it looked good until further inspection. There were flakes of god knows what in my beer but I ignored it because I'm just that reasonable. Now here is where I go absolutely bananas and lose all sense of control. In digging through this steak and in cutting it up before my eyes was this little white worm wriggling around on my plate. I stopped frozen in fear that I quite possibly could have digested some sort of parasite or maggot since I was halfway through my meal. Then I got the waiter over and showed him this rather gross and ugly worm. He looked at it as if it was as normal as me showing him a French fry and got the chef. The chef treated it the same way. So I shoved the plate forward and he asked me if I wanted anything else...as if that is a question to even ask at this point...all in all if you signed up for fear factor than go ahead by all means but if you want a decent meal, I advise you go at least 3000 blocks from this hideous place. DO NOT GO! I REPEAT DO NOT GO! If anyone in the French government reads this, please do something about quality control you TWATS.

J'ai particulièrement apprécié ce lieu à plusieurs titres : la déco, l'ambiance, le service et bien sûr la carte assez étoffée. A renouveler lors d'un prochain passage à Paris.

Im totally honest with you guys...please read this reviewI dont want to be rude or anything, but it was the worst experience ive ever had!I ordered 3 dishes1.A small salad with goat cheese, which tasted ok2. boeuf bourguignon, it was absolutely bland, no flavour at all3. creme caramel - on top of my creme caramel was mold, fking mold!STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Best Onion Soup in France! Also great chocolate mousse. For main course had steak. Wanted it well done, but was compelled by Waiter to have it medium, undoubtedly for genuine culinary reasons. However, far too much blood coming out of the steak, into my cheese sauce, for my liking. Will be back, but I will be much firmer insisting on well done steak. That said Soupe de l'oignon: MAGNIFIQUE!!

Endroit chaleureux, place en vitrine à éviter.Composition des menus non divulguer, j'ai du renvoyer mon plat en cuisine, le vin n'est pas présenté... Sinon, c'est sympathique, des menus à prix abordable

With my family we visit this place every time we are in Paris. The food is delicious and atmosphere is amazing. You can eat French specialties , drink local vines and have a great time!!!

The worst experience ever, the onion soup was extremly bitter just awful. My friend had a creme caramel with muld on it. The waiter didn't even said sorry about that and also charged the full price

Un petit resto-bar agréable à l’ambiance vintage comme on l’aime. On apprécie l’ambiance vieux bar parisien qui rappelle d’autres années et d’autres quartiers. Un bon journal et une Grim, seront parfait pour attendre dans cet environnement typique votre prochain train. Le petit moine est une petite pépite old school à tester.

Horrible service. The moment me and my friends walked into this place, we didn't feel welcome at all but we still gave the food a try. My friends' onion soup was super bitter and just distasteful. And as a cherry on top, my friend's Crème Caramel had a big stripe of mold on top! Such a disgrace... The server didn't even apologize or didn't even offer anything on the house. It seemed like there's food coming back to the kitchen often every day because the server didn't look surprised that there was mold on the food. Absolutely horrible.If I could, I'd give 0/5 stars...
