Neurodiversity and particularly autism is not a monolith. This is to explain in part why it can be challenging to provide support and contribute to the global autism community. The nuances of cultural competencies, having a grasp of behavioural states and a multitude of other variables including internalised ableism can make the building of a global autism empire impossible.Fortunately the #ActuallyAutistic Coach specialises in allowing for possibility from that which there is no agreement.I thoroughly the mission of the #ActuallyAutistic Coach, and look forward to partnering and co-creating this beautiful dream of maturing the connection, acceptance, inclusion and celebration within the global neurodiverse community.

Very late to the autistic world - or, rather, very late to realize I was part of the autistic world. Matthew has made the whole journey very straight-forward, navigable, and non-intimidating. If you're autistic, trying to figure out where your place is in a world designed by and for allistics, I recommend taking one of his courses.

I had already read Unmasking Autism by Devon Price when I first joined one of Matthew sessions, so I wasn't sure if I would get a lot out of it or just have a nice opportunity to chat with fellow Autistic people. But I am so glad I did! I am now 4/5ths through Matthew's course and I have learned so much about what it means to be Autistic, how to better perceive and prioritize my needs, increasing my self-compassion, know when masking is useful or harmful, which activities provide regulation and which cause dysregulation, how to know in advance when an Autistic meltdown or shutdown is coming, and how to advocate for myself and by fellow Autistic beings. We also had some many interesting and deep discussions with the group and laughed a lot. If you are Autistic yourself (whether diagnosed or self-identified or suspecting) I can very much recommend joining one of Matthew's free sessions to see if it's something for you.

I have only great things to say about Matthew as a coach; he has helped me better understand myself, my strengths, and what I am experiencing. He’s provided insightful thoughts that have inspired me to look at myself from a lens less fogged up by internalized ableism and despair. He understands his clientele he is working with and is easy to relate to. I am very grateful to have worked with him and look forward to working with him more in the future!

Matthew's group sessions were really useful, interesting and fun. Lots of resources and lots of time to share experiences.

My experience with Matthew to date has been nothing but excellent. He is a genuinely lovely, caring and thoughtful person. He always takes the time to speak individually to each person in each of his sessions and is happy to be flexible about how people wish to engage whether this is with/without their camera or be it verbally or via typed message. I went into our sessions with very few expectations and very little understanding about myself as an ADHD & autistic person and am coming out the other side much better informed and with a much more dynamic and well rounded view of myself and others who have this kind of neurodiversity. I recommend Matthew's coaching highly.

My time working with Matthew has been incredibly helpful because he gets it and I don't have to explain Autistic culture or the Autistic brain. I have appreciated his relatability and how he validates my lived experience. His approach feels very supportive, affirming, and encouraging.

Working with Matthew and the groups he coordinates is an immensely helpful experience in coming to terms with what it means to live an authentic autistic life. Discovering yourself in isolation is a totally different experience from finding yourself in a group of people going on the same journey!
