This is an old building, which we love. The biggest issue is the website says it is a nonsmoking hotel. Love that and it's one reason we booked it. Come to find out the courtyard is smoking! The big problem with that is most of the rooms face the courtyard. That means we cannot sit in the courtyard due to the smoke. We also can't have the windows open in our room which faces the courtyard due to the smoke. We are very disappointed and will not return. I feel we were lied to and am very disappointed.

I stayed at this lovely historic hotel for one week. It is located in the heart of St. Germain des Près. My room was very comfortable. Thomas at the front desk was a charm and has been employed there for 30 years. The stay included a good Continental breakfast. If you enjoy staying in historic properties this is the place for you!

My friend and I (American) stayed at this hotel in January, and it was such a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful, exceptionally spacious, and we were so pleased that it retained a historical character that is so quintessentially French. The location can't be beat, and the breakfast had a nice variety of pastries and offerings. The staff was very courteous and arranged for a taxi when we checked out (7am Sunday). Our two friends from Germany also stayed at this hotel, and they had an equally positive experience. I look forward to staying here again.

Superbe expérience à l'hôtel d'Angleterre. Non seulement j'ai apprécié la localisation, parfaite au coeur du joli quartier de St Germain, ainsi que la chambre, spacieuse et très bien équipée, comme le petit-déjeuner au goût de paradis dans cette belle cour fleurie. Une mention spéciale au gentil monsieur à la réception qui m'a rendu un grand service suite à un oubli de ma part.J'ai trouvé ma nouvelle adresse de séjour au coeur de Paris.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Perhaps it fell on hard times during Covid but we were shown to a room with a filthy stained carpet and a hole in the floor covered over by same carpet. The toilet was in a separate space from the bathroom and was chipped and dirty with no soap. It’s self was shabby and depressing and when we told management about it we were met with incredible indifference. This was once a lovely hotel place, but we strongly recommend that you go somewhere else. Quelle dommage!

We just returned from our stay at the Angleterre and it never disappoints. We have stayed at the hotel over a period of 40 years and it gets 5 stars for the amazing location, the delightful and helpful staff, the charming (and oversize) rooms, and the gracious and tasty breakfast. It's our Paris favorite. FIVE STARS!!

We will definitely stay here again on our next trip. Charming and quiet, in walking distance to Le L’ouvre, Le Musée D’Orsay, restaurants, museums, shops, the metro, cafes. Or you can simply enjoy a stroll around St Germain. It was a joy being able to have our room window open to the inner garden with its greenery and fountain - perfect for breakfast or a late-afternoon book. And the staff was kind and patient with those who still are learning French.

it is old but tipic ...it reminds me grandma.rooms are good and clean , service is almost nothing bisedes water and breackfast but the location is top.some very special rooms

Hôtel d'Angleterre Saint Germain des Prés
This was a lovely little find, in an Arty area of Paris, a short walk from The louvre. It's surrounded by art shops and cafés. People were milling around late into the evening, making the whole area feel very safe.The rooms are all different, quirky, pretty, etc. really good sizes. Beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean.I would definitely book here again.
