Un bar qui se montre comme étant un safe space" mais qui discrimine. Je suis venue avec mon ami (homme hétéro-cis) et déjà la serveuse au bar le regardait vraiment mal (clairement lui ne se sentait pas safe). Quand j'ai offert à mon ami de payer nos bières

Love, love, love this great feminist lesbian bar located between Les Halles and Le Marais. Great vibe, music and clientele. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff who helped my partner and I get home after a brilliant, if slightly wild night. Couldn't recommend more highly when visiting Paris, particularly if you have good politics and want to avoid mainstream LGBT venues dominated by cis gay men.

Le lieu a son charme. Une ambiance un peu glauque mais harmonieuse. Le bar est sympathique. Je recommande pour les personnes qui correspondent aux clichés lesbiens.En revanche, je trouve que dans ce lieu, il n'y a pas vraiment de mixité. On voit toujours le même profil de personne et étant une femme lesbienne très féminine, je ne me sens pas à ma place.

Jeté du bar en moins d'une minute après l'entrée sous prétexte (totalement faux) que j'avais insulté un client. Clairement les hommes ne sont pas admis, même en étant accompagnés de 3 amies lesbiennes. C'est dommage, pour un bar qui prône la tolérance

Terrible place that makes you feel as unwelcome as possible. I am a lesbian and I visited this place with my wife. The old lady that serves as the « bouncer » is extremely rude and won’t hesitate to tell you to F off and won’t let you in as soon as you « look straight » according to her. Even after proving to her that we were a couple she rather stayed on her position by calling us homophobic (?!) and cutting the conversation short after proven wrong, rather than being sorry. I see that I am not the first one shocked by this attitude. To avoid at all cost.

Nous Sommes Arrivés avec un ami devant cet établissement que je voulait découvrir.Nous avons discuté avec de nombreuses personnes fort sympathique en extérieur puis avons décidé d'entrer pour commander un verre.Une jeune femme au bar super hargneuse et désagréable à refusé de nous servir car d'après elle nous n'étions pas assez Queer.Je déplore cette attitude et ne la comprends toujours pas mais si elle continue comme ça, son espace d'échange deviendra juste un espace de jugement.C'est bien dommage, il existe tellement de lieux bienveillants.

La Mutinerie has a political and social aim that differentiates itself from other commercial LGBTQ+ spaces in Paris and beyond. The people in the space are really cool, and I really enjoyed talking to people and going to events. The drinks I had were also quite good—I liked their cosmopolitans. The bartenders are all super nice and seem quite close. I went six times; it was not too busy earlier in the day, but would often be pretty packed later in the evenings.I was initially drawn to La Mutinerie after my experiences interacting with American tourists who were excited to visit the space, but it is a really diverse bar that brings in people from all over the world. I learned that not only is La Mutinerie a great sit-down bar for dates and grabbing drinks after work, but it also aims to run community-oriented events for people who identify as queer in a variety of ways.Originally, La Mutinerie replaced a previous lesbian bar called Unity that closed. Although I could not find much information online on the history of the space, according to an article from a student at Washington and Lee University, the original owners of La Mutinerie bought the space in 2012 to “keep the legacy of lesbian bars alive. Although La Mutinerie broadly seems to still be perceived and categorized as a lesbian bar by the public

Was a bit nervous (scared) to visit reading the reviews, but was adamant on visiting because of how important a community space like this is. It was actually lovely. What a relief. And a lot of people were sitting outside, meaning it couldn’t be that bad. Talked to a lovely couple sitting next to us. All in all a great time.
