Burgundy Discovery

We had a lovely day exploring Burgundy with Robert. The tastings were excellent, and his ambassadorship enhanced our experiences at each location, including our delicious lunch. One especially memorable moment was getting to taste a 2023 vintage, which had just been put in barrels. We ended the day with a much better understanding of the importance of terroir and vintage/weather. We highly recommend this tour for a memorable visit of Burgundy!

Had a fantastic tour! Robert was a great guide and the quality of the wines and lunch was outstanding.My wife and I have done tours both in the US (Napa/Sonoma and Williamette) and Europe (Duoro in Portugal, Chianti and broader Tuscany in Italy) and this was our favorite as the quality of the wine and overall experience was superb.Note: we did the Grand Premier day tour

One should always visit a place like Burgundy with an expert, and we certainly did. Our visits were well planned, and the tour/drive through the vineyards was exactly what I hoped for. Robert gave us a great understanding and appreciation of the region and the wines. We visited during the peak of the harvest, and one of the wine makers gave us a tour and tasting. I am sure he had many other things to do and took his efforts as a sign of his relationship with and respect for Robert. Lunch was great as well - food, wine, and company. I was interested in wines from some properties that we did not visit, and Robert was helpful with that as well. Full, complete, and very knowledgeable service. Much appreciated and highly recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderful day exploring Burgundy with Joy. She personalized our experience by answering our questions and understanding our interests. We upgraded our tour to try select wines and a gourmet lunch. Joy made the day an unforgettable adventure!

This was my 2nd tour with the team at Burgundy Discovery opting for a private tour this time.We had the most wonderful day, Robert and Joy are friendly, knowledgeable and excellent hosts. Visiting a number of wineries that we would not be able to access is reason enough to book this tour. The lunch stop was also excellent, transport was comfortable and we all felt that we learnt a lot and had a great time. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend! Robert shared with our party of 5 his extensive knowledge of the Burgundy wine industry during a day-long tour of the Cote de Nuits and the Cote de Beaune. It’s hard to summarise how amazing our day with Joy was. From start to finish it was superb. Joy was an absolute delight: so professional, helpful, informative and great fun. We really had the best time.For new wine fans right through to experienced Burgundy lovers, a tour with Joy and Robert offers so much. The 4 of us on the tour loved every second and would do it again in a heartbeat. Such delicious wines, a fantastic lunch, really interesting insights to Burgundy and some really special moments with the producers.We enjoyed buying wine from each of the 3 producers we visited. Buying the wine and collecting it couldn’t have been easier. And of course the selections and prices were amazing.The trip was made all the more special by extra bits Joy did for us. She really did go out of her way to make sure we had an amazing time and got the wine and experience we wanted.All in all, we’re so happy we did the tour with Joy. So many memorable moments. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

An absolutely amazing experience. Robert really knows his way around the wineries in Burgundy, which meant not only that we got to try some very special wines (some wines that wouldn’t have been available to us had we simply stumbled in) but also enabled us to get our heads around a lot of the brilliant wines of the area. An unpretentious tasting i.e. there was no expectation of what wines we should or shouldn’t like - Robert guided us and helped us discover which burgundy wines we loved, and how to describe and explain them better. And on top of that, a great lunch. Worth every cent.

From their hospitable tour experience to visiting with local domaine owners, this tour is spectacular. The restaurant selected for lunch is stunning with spectacular food.
