Lieu de résidence pour passage éclair dans une ville comme Caen, agréable séjour et conventionnelle adaptable à toute personne, croisant des visiteurs hétéroclites.

Let's start with the good part: it is cheap. Aside from that, the booking system is awful, the breakfast consists of hard bread and sour milk and no one of the staff could really speak english. All in all a place you only want to stay the night, but not longer.

I had quite low expectations of this place based on other reviews... It's not great but it's not terrible either.It was clean, there was a shared kitchen (though you had to be quite innovative if you wanted to cook anything) and breakfast was included in the price. Most of all, it's cheap - €23 per night plus €2.50 for disposable bedding.The staff don't seem to speak much English but were patient with my poor French and on the whole very helpful. It's a quiet hostel - I wasn't disturbed during the night. I was in a 4 bed female dorm for 4 nights and it was never fully occupied.The room had a private shower and toilet which were small but perfectly functional. The kitchen had microwaves, a small oven and 2 individual induction hobs but trying to find a pan that would work on the hob was interesting. A few more knives might be a good idea too!The location is quite far from town - I had my bike so this wasn't an issue but if you were walking I imagine it would be at least a 30 minute walk.I found the hostel on the Hostelling International website but in order to book I had to email them and ask about availability. Their website is acahj-caen.fr which shows some more information.On the whole I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying there. The choice of hostels in the region is very limited so it's ok if you have a strict budget. Caen is well place for trips to the Normandy beaches and the hostel is only just over 1 mile from the station.

Très bonne endroit les chambres sont bien équipée et propre avec un endroit pour cuisiner

Trop cher (25 EUR) pour un dortoirs et des draps en fibre plastique.

Sans y avoir vécu, les quelques années à y rejoindre des amis restèrent fort agréable, avec une équipe sympathique et souriante, et qui a bien su dépanner dans les situations critiques.

Auberge propre, petit dej correct. Mais, elle est relativement pas bien situé, et mal insonorisée.

Trop de surveillance ainsi que du bruit environnent qui pollue le sommeil à part ça une équipe très agréable et sympathique
