Monceau

La ligne 2 du métro de Paris est une des seize lignes du réseau métropolitain de Paris. Elle suit un parcours semi-circulaire au nord de la ville, situé en quasi-totalité sur les anciens boulevards extérieurs.Elle est la deuxième ligne ouverte dans la capitale : son premier tronçon est mis en service en décembre 1900 et elle est achevée en avril 1903 dans son tracé actuel entre Porte Dauphine et Nation. Elle n'a connu depuis aucune modification de son parcours

C'est une station emblématique qui ouvre sur une histoire singulière =En 1773, le duc de Chartres demande à Carmontelle de mettre au goût du jour le jardin de Monceau = La folie Monceau" devient alors la "folie de Chartres".Carmontelle amenage cette folie selon sa propre conception d'un jardin

Not sure why someone decided to attribute only one star to this station as this station is located next to one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, Parc Monceau. The station is small, but functional and only has one exit right next to the park. Crossing the park will bring you to the embassy area and if you make a left in the park from the station, you will head straight to the majestic Arc the Triomphe. I like this station as it is central, convenient and right next to one of the most beautiful parks in Paris.
