Le Logis du Pressoir Gites & Chambres d'Hotes

I’ve been putting off writing this review for a long long time, because I felt like I really needed to find the time and headspace to do Le Logis du Pressoir justice. In a nutshell it was simply excellent; easily the best holiday place we’ve ever stayed.After months and months of lockdown in London we were pretty lucky to even get to leave the country in the summer; it was only thanks to all of us catching and recovering from Covid in May that meant we qualified as double-vaccinated under the French rules.Anyway, we were lucky enough to spend about ten days with Mark, Lisa and Tom at Le Logis in August. We had a week in the beautiful Le Pressoir, with its high ceilings, rustic charm and wonderful terrace with views over the huge garden. Then we moved over to the smaller, charming Les Rosiers - nestled amongst the flowers - for a few nights. Both gites were extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and we slept really well. We loved the daily bread & croissant deliveries too.Our kids (aged 9 and 5) absolutely loved the garden. We’ve never known them to do this before, but they’d just run off and play happily for hours. They quickly made friends with the other children staying on site (despite not sharing a language) and loved riding the go-karts together down the slope at the back of the garden. At times, while sitting by the gated pool with a book, I felt like they’d put us adults in some kind of grown-up “kids club”. They would play until it was too dark to see anymore, while we drank local rosé and watched the sunset. It was absolute bliss.There’s plenty to do in the local area. We had a fun day trip to Terra Botanica and enjoyed exploring the Loire, despite the less-than-excellent weather.Lisa and Mark were so welcoming and helpful. They’ve really created something quite magical, and no doubt it took a lot of work over the years. We would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Le Logis, especially if you have similarly aged children, just don’t go booking it all up because we want to go back!

A really lovely place to have a holiday. Lisa, Mark and Thomas were perfect hosts, very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay in Les Laurier last week. The gite is well equipped and we especially liked being able to sit outside each evening for dinner in a beautiful garden. There is much to do in this area, quieter and less busy than further east along the river in the main" chateau area

Great place. The pool is lovely. Gite has everything you need, even Sky tv! Hosts are very welcoming and helpful :)

We enjoyed 4 units for a week to celebrate the 55th wedding anniversary of my parents with the whole family (16 people in all). The surrounding nature is beautiful and lush with flowers and plently of birds and lizards. Facilities and pool are kept clean and Mark and Lisa are very committed and make great hosts. The Loire river and nearest chateau of Montgeoffroy are at only 20 minutes distance. Everybody had a great time! We returned home refreshed and grateful.

Wat een heerlijke plek. De hartelijke ontvangst door Mark en Lisa. De gereedstaande welkomstmand met daarin de eerste boodschappen zoals brood, boter, melk, sap, wijn etc. Enorm attent! Het ontbreekt aan NIETS in de gite en op het terrein. Heerlijk zwembad. Alles perfect schoon en zeer goed onderhouden. Locatie prima tov de omliggende steden en dorpen. Aanrader

we stayed as a large family group in August 2016(evans). Mark and Lisa are the perfect hosts. we loved every minute of our stay and lots todo. fresh swimming lakes,tree top walking and a trip to terra botanical was amaizing.hope to come back at some point. all in all a perfect place to stay

Wir hatten den perfekten Aufenthalt in dem traumhaft gelegenen alten Weingut.Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und Lisa und Marc sind ausgezeichnete Gastgeber.Vor unserem geräumigen B&B Zimmer ist eine kleine Terrasse auf der man frühstücken kann.Auch der Pool ist perfekt zum Entspannen.Die Lage ermöglicht zahlreiche Château,s zu besichtigen.Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen.

Beautiful gites in lovely, accessible location with great facilities. The pool is well kept and great fun. Hosts could not be more helpful and we hope to return again.

Magnifiiiiique endroit au calme, propre, très bien entretenu, propriétaires très accueillants, discrets, attentionnés et disponibles. Très bel endroit nous sommes restés 1 jour en plus pour en profiter... A recommander sans problème pour la tranquillité. Merci à vous et bonne continuation ! Philippe et Christine

We verbleven hier afgelopen zomer een week en het was simpelweg heerlijk. De Engelse eigenaren zijn heel gastvrij en doen hun best je echt thuis te laten voelen. We zaten in “les Lauriers”, 1 van de grotere appartementen met beneden en bovenverdieping en 2 aparte slaapkamer. Perfect met onze toen 6 maanden oude baby, die heerlijk sliep in haar eigen kamer met babybedje. Elke ochtend vers stokbrood van de bakker, een frisse duik in het mooi gelegen zwembad en de Loire vallei op je gemak verkennen… Wat wil je nog meer? Een dikke 5/5
