What a gorgeous place! L'Encas et l'Échoppe is tucked away behind a residential street in Gouy St Andre and has a surprising view across its patio to trees and fields.It's both a beautifully-presented shop selling Katharine's finds from French brocantes, pottery and textiles as well as being a cafe. On offer are delicious healthy quiches, salads and indulgent cakes - all homemade of course. Inside the cafe is one large table seating about 10 people; outside are smaller tables. Vegetarians would be very happy here, so would those who like to eat more lightly.It's a great place for lunch, but would also work really well for a group of 8 or 10 people wanting a place to themselves for a small celebration.

Accueil, crumbel au fruits de saison, infusion aux plantes du jardin et la visite de ce jardin, tout y est pour passer un très agréable moment de détente. Merci katharine.(Réservation nécessaire)

Wonderful. Superb and unusual food in a beautiful and thoughtful environment. Katherine's welcome was very warm. She grows most and cooks all of the tasty and creative food offered. The view of the verdure around pretty Gouy-St-Andre is relaxing and calm. We sat out on the sun deck enjoying the ambience of the kitchen garden. A must to visit if you're in the 7 Vallees.

Nous avons pris un thé gourmand avec une belle tranche de gâteau citron et huile d’olive. Le jardin est magnifique et mérite une belle promenade. La propriétaire, Catherine, est très accueillante et sympathique, nous aimerions retourner pour goûter les pique-niques. Une belle ambiance vintage et écologique.We had a lovely cup of tea with some nice lemon, olive oil cake. The gardens are worth just to see and stroll through. Owner was very nice, would love to come back to try the picnics. A nice vintage and ecological vibe.
