Avis Location Voiture - Versailles

Très mauvaise expérience. Avis rajoute des frais supplémentaires alors que nous avons pris la plus forte assurance, idem au retour de la voiture encore des frais de dossier et des ajouts de forfaits de lavage injustifié... Au final, pour un location à 1400euros, 450euros de facturé en plus soir 30% en plus en ayant pris pourtant toutes les options possibles au départ......

THIS IS A WARNING. I will not rent from AVIS unless your life depends on it. They charged me for damage not caused by me. If you look at the attached photos you can clearly see that the damage was already there.And when I called them to dispute, they just put me on hold indefinitely, knowing that I will just give up eventually because you will have no other avenue to dispute.Also, I rented the car with the super insurance which means I am supposed to be cover for any damages, but there's a hidden cause of any damage that is in the fine print that was never made clear or explained during the rental, they just upsell that to us suckers.Don't deserve a single star...Be WARNED!! Good luck if you are going with them!

I rented a car in Versailles, France for a 21 day trip through Brittany. The contract included a liability damage waiver as part of the cost. I prepaid the cost of my rental agreement prior to picking up the car and Avis sent an email saying I am confirmed and all set to go.At the time of pickup, the agent informed me that my rate from Avis was only applicable if I had a statement from my employer confirming that my trip was for official business. He changed my contract and of course, the rate went up. I paid an additional charge there, and he authorized damage charges as well.I felt taken advantage of. I had made lots of plans that would all have been destroyed if I turned down the car. Not to mention that I had prepaid the cost and would have to deal with a refund process less than 24 hours priorbto pick up. I'm sure the agents are aware of this and basically hold you hostage. So I signed the new contract but under duress. The Avis agent made an elaborate video of the car to document its condition at pick up. It seems to me that they have an additional revenue stream charging foreigners for repairs, which are never actually carried out, and which become prohibitively difficult to contest once you leave the country.I received an email from Avis after pickup, which i replied to, then wrote to Avis customer service to complain. They replied to the customer service ticket saying they could not find my agreement and my case was closed. I finally called and spoke to someone, who was excellent, but in the end, she said wait for the final charges to come through and then complain again and the case will be re-opened.The insurance is a way to avoid the headache of trying to deal with people in different countries with time changes and language differences. It can be done, but I don't want to do it, especially with someone dishonest whose intention is to hustle you if he can. So I paid for the liability insurance. Now I am basically in the same position but instead of arguing about vehicle damage, i am forced to deal with the bureaucracy of contract changes and additional charges made against my will and after prepayment. Its not what i would have chosen to do, but now that i am in this position, i will make it public so others are aware of the pitfalls of renting abroad and I will pursue it out of principle.Yunus P. Bon gratuit week end pas pris en charge, niveau essence pas au plein refacturés à la fin de location par surprise. Mail et appel de contestation, plus d une semaine sans réponse...

Booked through Expedia and I got everything I expected - 5 door hatchback with automatic. Clean, very nice looking Peugeot 208 GT. No hassles, staff was very friendly when I returned it, forgot about the TWO hour lunch break (my fault) so I sat for about an hour and we shared some jokes about it. AVIS takes a picture of every tiny scratch so all prior damage was recorded.BTW the office is conveniently right next to a train station that will take you back to Paris.

Très bien cette agence. Sourire et très bon accueil. Le problème chez avis c’est lorsqu’on appelle le service d’assistance, ils sont toujours en mode débordé .

Le bureau de location est situé dans l'Hotel Mercure, l'équipe est très à l'écoute et le véhicule qui n'était pas très récent était propre. Dommage que la jauge d'essence soit descendue d'une section après seulement quelques kilomètres parcourus, visiblement le plein est fait juste pour afficher le plein au tableau de bord mais en réalité le réservoir n'est pas complet. Le véhicule sentait la cigarette.

Louant des véhicules très fréquemment, je trouve que cette agence est très professionnel, de l'accueil à la remise des clés. Un check détaillé au départ qui en est autant au retour (normal). les véhicules sont très bien préparés (propreté intérieur et extérieur). Je recommande

Agence de Port-Marly : La voiture n'était pas révisée (comme ça s'affichait à l'écran). En roulant l'écran principal de la voiture s'est éteint : plus d'affichage d'informations et notamment de la vitesse ! Ce qui est dangereux. Heureusement que j'ai pu utiliser Waze via Android Auto pour finir le trajet. Il manquait le gilet jaune obligatoire avec le triangle.

Très mauvaise expérience !!! en déplacement pro Je me suis présenté à ce guichet juste pour avoir quelques informations … pendant que son collègue m’explique coupe la parole à son collègue au lieu de s’occupe’ du client devant lui …. Le gros blanc a l’accueil très désagréable limite raciste te juge à l’apparence . Change de discours lorsque je lui annonce le nom de mon employeur … à fuir
